Decent business for Acun and City, £15m for City signings and £5m for the Allams to trouser. Acun's "I wouldn't sell him for £30m" is looking a little bit naive now or was he just talking up KLP's fee. KLP's agent was been hawking him round the PL clubs from the get-go of this window, I think the U21 call-up opened KLP's eyes and made his mind up to seek pastures new.
Acun has said similar too, I think they consider him our player so haven't done one. I'd just like to know his contract length
I think if KLP didn't want the move then we wouldn't have, I don't believe Acun wanted to sell him. But when KLP does want the next step, as is his right, there's not a lot you can do. We could keep him this summer, but we'd be getting less in January or even less next summer and we've got a player who doesn't really want to be here
I've seen a few people say things like this but I think it's very black and white. Until they are formally announced by the club itself, people will not consider them officially Hull City players. Media outlets will list City as having 3 completed signings, the 3 which have been announced. Wikipedia will list those 3 as Hull City players, but not any of the others, because they haven't been officially announced.
Yeh to be fair the club website has Tufan, Baxter and Figueiredo listed in the sqaud, no sign of Allahyar or Traore.
So when squad numbers come out and he kicks off the season does that mean he's not signed if there's been no YT clip?
Clearly if a player appears on the pitch then they have signed. The point is that it would be bizarre if it was not officially confirmed at any point before that. No one's talking about YouTube clips. A few words from the club to say a player has signed on a X-year contract will do the trick. Until then, they'll continue to be listed as players of other clubs on every media outlet (as well as the first page of this thread of course). I would still expect announcements to come at some point. There must be some reason for the hold up.
For some reason I thought that KLP's deal runs out next summer, but i've just seen we have the option for a further year. Acun could quite happily tell KLP we need him for this season, unless a silly bid comes in, and then we could maybe get more for him next summer?
Not really. Players are notoriously worth less when they've only got 12 months remaining. Clubs know you've got no option but to sell and this reduces the price.
On FM I was offered 15m for KLP I am still holding out. Waiting for a couple of my scouts in Asia to get back to me with a couple of hidden gems who can replace him. Time will tell.
Didnt we sell Bowen for a potential £25m with only a year or less remaining on his contract, unless we also had an extra years clause.
I thought that but it was 6 months before his option year, so equivalent to KLP being sold in the coming January window.
