Absolutely not mate. When threads like this come up, I like to be involved. I don't think it's showing off by using the actual terminology to describe things.
Yeah been looking it up. Completely bonkers!! It was a steep down slope at, for me, a very high speed. Didn’t hurt my knee otherwise the “heads, shoulders knees and toes” might have been appropriate!!
Aye mate. Speed recovery! Operation on the cards ? Much damage to connective tissue in and round the joint, ligaments intact etc ?
No operation needed but been told it could be 3 months recovery. Hopefully not mind but time will tell. see the consultant again in a couple of weeks. Once the swelling goes down he said we’d have more idea
Sorry to hear about this marra, amazed they aren't putting a couple of screws in. Which shoulder is it?
Left one mate That’s the bruising on my bicep. It’s the same on the back of the arm too. please log in to view this image And this is the break I’ve got please log in to view this image Close friend is a radiographer and had a look. Says it’s a bad break
Can't see the pics, just icon and [ IMG ] Sounded like a bad one - hope you aren't suffering too much What pain meds they given you?
That looks really painful mate, how do they strap that to stop it moving? I bet sleeping is difficult as well. Hope it heals quick for you.
Woke up with back in bits. Happened last season too. Always the next day after a game. Must be the sol seats or the fact I am just off centre do text to slightly twist during the game.
It feels worse than it looks!!!. They can’t “pot” it so have to basically try to keep it still!! 8th broken bone in my life and it’s the worst so far!!
I thought the idea of the meds was to ease the pain?! I'd get straight on to your doc and talk to them about it - it isn't about manning-up or being a wimp, the level of pain meds needed can tell the doc about the injury. Also you being in pain affects your stress and reduces your ability to heal. Do you know if there was any nerve damage?
