Hear what you say Rich but you forget we didnt have Phillips most of last season so Im not bothered we sold him. I believe in Aaronson and Sinisterra we will get the goals Raphinha supplied. I also believe Rodrigo will do a job, my views on the new signings are and have been positive and my only worry has been Marsch. Well after yesterday you can see what hes trying to do and see that the players are taking it in. So the pundits are indeed crap mate because they gobbed off without analysing the new players, all too quick to go with the line no prem experience. Yes only one game in but everyone can see what this team is trying to do now, and yes we will get shredded at the back by the top players at times but nowhere near as bad as last season

We're certainly not the finished product mate, not even for a regular mid table team , probably 3 signings away from being one, LB,9 and imo we need a more commanding CB than Llorente and Koch can offer, I know we're not in the market for a new CB but I think we should be.
Last season we won 4 at home, 3 against the relegated sides and the other a last minute penalty and don't remember us,other than Wolves away coming from behind to win a game, certainly not under MB. So hopefully the players mentality has changed too

No wonder Villa lost to Bournemouth yesterday, 2 matches on same day! Oh and it looks like Frank's taken over.

Lage on Marsch confrontation after Wolves’ defeat by Leeds: ‘There are some things you cannot say’

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Bruno Lage has lifted the lid on his confrontation with his Leeds United counterpart, Jesse Marsch, saying, “I heard something I didn’t like… there are some things that you cannot say.”

Lage and Marsch had an angry exchange of words following Leeds’ 2-1 win at Elland Road on Saturday, with both coaches clearly unhappy.

“Nothing against the manager, they won and it was absolutely great,” Lage said.

“But there was a point in the first half when I heard something I didn’t like and I said that to him.

“When you come in the end and say, ‘Apologise’…

“There are some things, in my opinion, that you cannot say and I just said that and after that I didn’t listen.

“But the most important thing is that Leeds won so congratulations to the team, the players and the manager because we lived today an amazing moment with a great atmosphere and I’m here to play the game the way we want to play.”

Marsch too played down the encounter after the match.

“It’s normal,” he said. “I respect him (Lage) a lot and he does a good job with his team. So no problem.”

The American was also asked about the similarities between Saturday’s confrontation and an incident between the two coaches at Molineux during Leeds’ 3-2 comeback win over Wolves in March, when a Raul Jimenez red card saw that game turn on its head.

“You could go back to Wolves away last year,” Marsch added. “It was emotion. I wanted to be respectful afterwards. But it didn’t quite go that way. But I’m OK and I think he’s OK.”

Wolves had gone 1-0 up on Saturday through Daniel Podence in the sixth minute. A 24th-minute strike from Rodrigo and a 74th-minute own goal by Rayan Ait-Nouri, however, saw Leeds win the match 2-1.

Marsch’s side travel to Southampton for their next Premier League match, while Wolves host Fulham.

It's all about opinions and let's not forget this was the 1st game. these players still need a few games to gel together. Wolves are a solid proven gelled Prem team they know everything about each other, and we took 3 points off them. Yes, they have some injuries, but hell so do we. There were positives and negatives from yesterday but isn't there is in every game.
I think we competed very well out there we just couldn't keep that intensity up for that 2nd half which was understandable being the 1st game in all that. I still think Wolves will be a top half finishing team and we've just took 3 points off them which is a bonus. Like someone said earlier I'm more positive now than before the game still lots of work to do but you can see there is something there plus we still have James,Sinisterra to come into that attack so plenty of skill and pace to add.
It's not rocket science we need 2 quility players before this window closes a LB and a Striker get them in, I see us staying up.
Our bench is going to be alot stronger
James,Sinisterra,Firpo,Cooper,Ayling,Forshaw all to be added to that current 9 Subs yesterday and if we bring 2 more in before the window closes we have a much stronger backup rather than quantity.
Enjoy your Sunday Lads and lasses next up Southampton, I'm more confident of going there and taking 3 points than I was before the Wolves game.
We will see where we are going around 10 games and the 1st job is done, we are off and running with 3 points on the board.

Also it's great seeing loads of new faces but also it adds pressure on the man management side to keep players happy because of that 9 on the bench yesterday who makes way when everyone is fit?
    9 Subs. Klaesson-HjeldeDrameh-Klich-Gyabi-Summerville-Gelhardt-Greenwood-Gray.
7 to come in. Robles- Ayling-Firpo-Cooper-Forshaw-James-Sinisterra
Add a possible 2 new players LB-Striker that could become 9. then there is also Dallas-Bogusz.
That's a possible 20 players for 9 slots. 11 are going to miss out on a match day squad who will all need an arm around the shoulder for the reasoning of keeping them out. You hear people why we don't keep him or him or him this is the reason why because where do you put them. Football can be brutal

Jesse Marsch was invited to the Ted Lasso studio shoot. Stan Collymore (who I usually despise) pointed out that this was wrong. He mentioned that if Ted Lasso and Jesse Marsch had both had black skin they wouldn’t have dared invite him as it’s too stereotypical (well words along those lines).

And that’s why Bielsa preferred a small squad, because sometimes you take up more time managing those not playing as they agitate and disrupt the dressing room because they’re not being picked.

Wouldn’t worry about keeping a large squad happy. Every manager in the pl has to handle that. Bielsas lack of ability to do so was probably his biggest weakness and led to his downfall

Not arguing whether it’s right or not, some managers like to have a large squad, others see it as wasted energy managing players that have little to no chance of starting. I’m guessing that five substitutes will make that easier.

I think our injury ravaged season last year will have shown without doubt which is the best option. Competition for places also has to be a positive too. Anyway I’m sure won’t be long till we’ve a few picking up knocks

Drameh will stay on the bench as cover for Kristensen
Hjelde will stay too as cover for Struijk until Firpo back
Cooper will be on the bench as cover fir Llorente who is playing out of position covering Cooper
    Forshaw on the bench

But soon there will be James and Sinisterra chasing a start, Ayling trying to dislodge Drameh

Patrick Bamford has given a nod to the role of Brenden Aaronson and Rodrigo Moreno after Leeds United started their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win over Wolves.

If he did anything more strenuous than a nod to celebrate he'd probably injure himself.:)
