I think City are favourites for the title, and we may have two or three teams challenging us for 2nd spot. We are weaker without Mane and without improving our midfield as we have two or three injury prone players in midfield.

I dunno why this is the case but it picks up soon enough. it gets us another game closer to the time when ox breifly returns, is **** and makes no difference.

Noticed most of the Championship teams chucked it in the first round, wonder how many PL teams will feel about an early exit to manage the season?

 

I imagine most of the top teams will just play a second string and see how it goes - which is par for the course anyway, tbh.

 

1st Round: Aug. 9-11
2nd Round: Aug. 23-25
3rd Round (Rd of 32): Nov. 8-10 THIS IS GOING TO BE KIDS
4th Round (Rd of 16): Dec. 20-22 THIS IS A PAIN
Quarter-finals: Jan. 10-12 THIS IS A KILLER, right after the festive take up

This is great to win but this is a complete and utter pain for no financial benefit. I was delighted to win one but we simply don't have the resources to compete this year imo.

Frankly i expect the two ego clubs in city and chelsea to be in the final if the draw allows.

With us being in CL we simply cannot stretch to this.

We have to play the 3rd round, that is a given.

the problem is with a good home draw will should actully progress.

The 4th round is actually before the first league game back so we could treat it as a easy preseason friednly game to get up to speed.

 

United fans are being urged to boycott Manchester United vs Liverpool game on August 22 at Old Traford.

 

Why are United boycotting now? Still wanting rid of the Glazers? Never worked in the past.

It's the NW derby. If 20k people boycott there will be 20k more waiting to take their place.

If they try that again and the match has to be postponed then I expect us to be putting pressure on the PL to have the home team forfeit the points and we take all three.

I've decided in solidarity with my friends at United, I too will boycott that game and watch on TV instead.

 

In the end "antics" around a single game fixture and no other is a complete waste of time and effort. Man utd will just have to pay the police for 3 to 5 times the presence thst would normally be there.

I really think some of these should really go to Salford City and watch thst hep of **** rather than the more expensive heap of **** they seem to just like to have a moan about.
