I didn't need a story in the Daily Mail to tell me that there are problems going on at our football club. At the same time though, I think the suggestion that Ralph has 'lost' the dressing room, is likely an exaggeration. Last season Brighton away there was a lot of fight and passion on the pitch. Also beating Arsenal at home. Those games give me hope. But then again there are also performances like Chelsea scoring six against us.

Maybe the players were only putting in the effort in those games because relegation fears were creeping in, rather than for Ralph. No one knows but them. What seems to be the case though, is that the players are still willing to put in the effort and play for the shirt. But, once the game is going against them (we concede or whatever), then the fight and the effort quickly disappear.

All the talk on matchdays seems to be about formations and tactics and teamsheets. But if the players lose motivation, then none of the other stuff matters. We will continue losing every week.

Sorry, lose tomorrow & he’s gotta go regardless. Think it’ll be a sad draw tho & just prolong the agony to Leicester. Prove me wrong Ralph / Saints; go on please!

Being a premier league manager of a low level club is never going to be a long term job. Always having to sell 1,2,3 of your best players every season, not having the transfer funds to buy instant impact players is never giving you a chance to build. What you probably need to have though in todays world, is to be a top man manager, which, as time goes on, would appear not to be one of Ralph’s strong points.

We have gone through stages where he has got the best out of players, but then had long periods of the complete opposite, of which these periods are becoming longer. This is when the manager then starts to publicly criticise individual players, messing around to much with formations etc etc, which as we all know to well, ends with pieces in papers as we’ve recently all seen from The Mail.

i have enjoyed Ralph’s reign, and he was exactly what the club and fans needed when he came in. Bought back attacking, High press football, being competitive even against the so called big 6 and beating most of them at some time, but we’ve also had to endure some of the biggest ass kickings in premier league history.

And sadly the form of the past several months has been nothing short of shocking, with very little sign of this changing.

With the modern day player, unfortunately at times like this they need to hear a new voice, a new direction, and this to me, is the main reason why Ralph needs to go now.

With the spending in the premier league now at an all time crazy level, we are only ever going to be looking to avoid relegation most seasons, but as fans, all I want to see is competitive, 100% effort, front foot football. A manager, that players want to run through walls for, and that to show on the pitch.

I’m not a Ralph hater, and will probably miss him, but a change is needed now, as a dead manager walking is never a great thing for a club as a whole.

Saw a brilliant comment on Facebook just now, from one of our resident genius fans:

    “I’d even take Poch back…”

I mean, I don’t even know where to start with that one!

I’m slightly disappointed that there isn’t even a lone voice in favour of reinstalling Hughes or Pellegrino…

I imagine they meant take him back as in they don’t like him. Seem to recall a lot of people weren’t happy with the way he went to Spurs and also blamed him for the exodus of players leaving as he allegedly was telling them to move on before he left

I'd ping a nut to have him back, personally!

Yeah from purely a football perspective you’d be mad to not want him back. But wouldn’t surprise me if some are still pissed off with the way he left and that would cloud their view

In which case they really do need to swallow their pride.

Not that there's more than 0.1% chance of us having any hope of tempting him, mind you. (For what it's worth, I'd certainly have asked the question of him/his representatives already, along with the message "how much would it take?")

How often have Saints got rid of a Manager after a good result? I am currently in the "out" brigade, just to allow him to leave and get his life back, can't be nice to be constantly persecuted by the people who should be supporting him. I guess his £6m contract will make it bearable.

    Wednesday:

Martin Semmens - "90% of what you read in the media about the club is made up".

    Thursday:

North-East reporter for the Daily Heil, best known for making loads of **** up, reports unrest in the Saints dressing room. All the fans believe it.

I admit it's much easier to believe good stuff in the media than bad stuff, but that article just smacked of opportunism and general ****ishness.

I don't agree wholly with that, Tom. People will simply find things easy to believe, or disbelieve, that tally with their 'feelings' - be they positive or negative. I still get this feeling with a lot of people, that they'd rather the club fail and Ralph go down in flames, just so they can say they were 'right'.

Good point. Some people would much rather they were right than put what's best for the club first IMO.

I didn’t realise he was the north east reporter. That is even more confusing as I’m not even sure any of our players are linked with north east clubs. AreLeeds considered in that group ?

TBH whoever the so called "source" was for this article is bad news for the club regardless if it's accurate or not. If that person's going to the Mail his/her motives are not in the best interests of the club.

If, and it's obviously a massive if, there is a shred of truth in this article, the evidence to support such a state of affairs, will be seen over the next few weeks. An embarrassing loss at Cambridge in the EFL Cup, will define future events. But I think there will be a much changed atmosphere by September as results improve, even if marginally.

I think as LTL says people will believe what fits their feelings.

If I told you I met Trump and he was a kind, humble and compassionate man, no one on here would probably believe me. In other places they would.

I also feel some people just have a negative outlook on life. Like Monty Python, I always look on the bright side of life. I am a firm believer that think positive and positive things happen to you. If you spend a week worrying about a negative outcome and it happens then you have still been in a **** mood for a week. Spend that week happy and positive and you are only in a **** mood when that thing happens.

Can’t change people, nor would I want to. On a forum and in life you have to just accept we are all different.
