They will have been surprised at seeing something they don’t see at home. Empty seats. Of course we have no fans who sit down away…
I thought he was ****e but didn't have any of that in mind. For me it was the constant free kicks whenever we got tight to them, particularly in the first half. That ridiculous goal kick he gave when Tetteh forced a corner off Aarons but he somehow failed to see it come off Aarons, and that bit where Aarons was down injured which was OK to ignore during their entire attack but as soon as we threatened to counter it was suddenly an urgent head injury situation. I try to be aware of my bias when watching football but with stuff like that I do wonder what we're supposed to think. It was as if he was trying to appear comically one-sided.
These accusations of biased referees make people sound like fans of the eggchasers. He was poor but we got away with quite a few things.
The posts about the poor one sided ref today have been made because he was. Eggchasers blame the ref when they lose, we won today despite the ref. Massive difference.
Was only trying to be helpful.Don’t know if you are married but if you are get the good woman to do those things every other week. I was lucky, I have a wife who likes football and the kids sporting events were on a Saturday morning and a Sunday. Saturday morning school run? My grammar school had us in on a Saturday with Wednesday afternoons off. Used to consider it cruel and inhumane treatment. Especially as most Wednesday afternoons were spent in detention.
Herculean. Special mention to a sublime turn in the second half by Tetteh. Rightly, loads of positive stuff to highlight, but not seen that mentioned anywhere.
Your going soft Buck, he was a 100% ****, one of the worst we have had since the Premier League days. If we hadn't of got away with a couple of niggles he would have been up before the FL on suspicion of taking a bung, or a years supply of frozen carrots before the game.
It was pretty obvious Jones would drop into a back 5 once we were under the cosh. Unfortunately we had no one to do the same job in midfield. Although he is not a player you’d trust to remain disciplined in such a situation, surely Wilks would be able to hang hold onto the ball rather than Covil? Absolutely no criticism of the lad, but he’s clearly not ready yet and doesn’t offer anything (does he?)
I think Jacob Greaves’ performance today should underline in perpetuity his importance to the team, not that it really was needed….rock solid with an injury time goal line clearance for good measure….the guy was immense. Hopefully the contract situation will get sorted soon and he can continue to grow into the Rolls Royce of a defender he’s steadily becoming.Losing him to the likes of Boro would be akin to high treason. Also thought Tetteh and Estupinan really combined well and in Oscar we’ve got a real goal poacher who has that knack of being in the right place at the right time in the penalty area. Scary to think of how good this team could be when the injury situation eases and we complete all the incomings at the end of the window.
