They might, but then it's a question of whether he wants to return. If he's as good as he appears I'd be surprised if he's here for any extended duration, but in a year or two there's still likely to be an awful lot of competition for places in midfield for City, while other top sides might seem like better propositions for playing time. Jordan Henderson presumably isn't going to start every match forever, and Man Utd could do with a mid who doesn't want to operate solely in the opponent's area. Those might be more appealing than returning to a team that already deemed him not good enough for regular playing time.
His performance against Leeds was such that I didn't even think about Romeu the whole game and he's one of my favorite players. So many times he was surrounded by three Leeds players, clearly trying to intimidate him but always found the out ball. So impressive for a youngster. His stats will be ridiculous if he keeps this up all season. <a href="">
