They have been putting the Rocky films on ITV4 on a Saturday night. Watched 1 and 2, 3 is on this Saturday. Still to this day holds its own. Cinemaphotography, story telling, Script, Characters all class. Rocky is like a philosophical wizard with some of the stuff he comes out with.
Been watching them as well....still great films. Can't believe Rocky 1 was 1976.....bloody hell. Time flies.
I watched Rocky 3 too many times in the 80s. Didn't appreciate 1 and 2 until a little bit older. Rocky 4 has the best soundtrack. Forget the rest.
Recently watched Rouge Agent on Netflix, base on true story about a guy posing as an Mi5 agent who lure woman into a trap for money. Creepy but good watch.
I was just about to comment forget the rest you only missed one of them out, then I remembered the recent lot!
76,79,82,85 and eerr 90. 5 could've been better, good story how he lost everything. However he tried the early 90s vibe and it failed. But like you said, still great.
Training Day from 2001 is class. I remember watching it 3 times in one day. Got it from Music Zone in the town on DVD, watched it at home. Loved it. Mate of mine came round, watched it again, both loved it, took it to a second mates house on the night, group of us watched it, all loved it. Washington won and Oscar for it aswell.
Just seen this, a couple of weeks late! Glad you liked it! There's so many bits that make me laugh in it. Brendon Gleeson is brilliant.
I just noticed this a few days later . Was class film mate, I had seen it when scrolling through Netflix and wouldn't have watched without the recommendation!
Brendan Gleeson is a top class actor, really great. His son Domhnall is a talent too already been in loads of good stuff. I liked him in Ex Machina with Oscar Isaac thought that was a really interesting sci fi about A.I.
Announced yesterday that Cineworld cinema could be filing for bankruptcy, they have close two complexes locally here. Shame really
Yeah, I like Domhnall too. He's done some quite diverse things. I've not seen Ex Machina, the last thing I saw him in was Peter Rabbit 2
Started watching Calvary last night, just because I was looking for more films with Brenda's Gleeson. Had to turn it off to go to bed as I was done in but was pretty good in what o watched. That Aiden Gillen (little finger game of thrones) plays a oddball pretty well.
Neither did I until quite recently, hair colour aside they don't look anything alike. Good film innit I remember it being really interesting.
