Just confirmed on the BBC at 0:12 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/62717249 and now on official website https://www.leedsunited.com/news/te...omplete-deadline-day-deal-for-wilfried-gnonto
At last a bit of good news. Amazing how it took us an hour or so to get the Eyetie and weeks not to get our man.
We've been monitoring and discussing options for him for weeks/ months. To be honest I'm surprised he decided to join considering he was 3rd or 4th option.
Yes he did but there seems to be a get out clause or something in France where they can actually sign somebody between French clubs after the window closes. So perhaps the failed medical was just that they hadn't had time to do one and the deal will go through today.
So, dose these number include sign on bonus, agent fees etc. Signing a player for free cost money, releasing a player cost money. If not, then that profit should most likely be £-15m
No mate, as I said in an earlier reply this is just quick fag packet headline numbers simply because transfers these days are mired in darkness due to add-ons, bonuses, payment terms, agents fees, intermediary fees. Nobody knows the real figures for Phillips and Raphinha, the so called up front payments etc. I updated the front page this morning entering £5m for Gnonto even though its really £4m so the percieved profit is now £15m in other words the club have spent nothing
That was why I asked. I think it was something like £260m in agents fees between Fabruary 2018 and January 2019 in the PL anlone. That number are probebly a hell of a lot more now. And that is costs that the club has to pay
I have updated the first post on this thread as the club have posted the squad and the U21 squad with the Premier League. On big surprise is Alfie McCalmont who I expected to be moved on is in the first team squad?
Perhaps because of his age and not being classed as u21s now. He must be spare so what to do with him. Obviously no club has taken him on.
