Wynter wildes looks to have a good chance in the first at newcastle it is a tight race with plenty of unknowns but with crooks offering 11/2 i feel it justifies a small bet

    Pontefract 2.25 Bookmark

Trainer Mark Loughnane not often seen with runners at this track but 3 placed from 7 last 5 seasons. This horse has won at Pontefract in the past and sire won on soft ground so there is hope conditions will suite today. Stall 1 ideal for a horse who likes to race prominently. Wouldn't be surprised if Bookmark bounces back today from 2 lesser efforts. Nice each way price at the moment.

    Ayr 2.25 The Gloaming

On a dangerous looking mark. Best form on soft which the horse gets for the first time after several runs on fast ground during the summer. Most good runs have been in September and October last seasons. A bit unlucky last time out when going ok but short of room 2 out and keeping on at the end. Ayr is one of the tracks where Ian Jardine earns most of the yard's prize money during a season. Stable amongst the winners last 14 days. Another runner today who could run well for each way purposes.

Newcastle 815 i set a price on this if it went to 50s i would have a small e/w 365 are offering it and the rest of the bookies are drifting . They all have a chance the booking is uninspiring on uk form but 50s is 50s and it hits my mark boogie time fingers crossed

Note for Stick: Don't know whether or not you will pick-up this message, but do not want to interfere with the current extraordinary purple patch the DT is currently going through, not with my nonsense, anyway!
Just wondered if you'd heard from Nassau? Certainly miss his postings, maybe he's waiting for the start of the NH season? Don't blame him there, so am I! Nassau was always very courteous and patient with me when I did not understand something, usually due to my being very dumb about something! He never failed to answer me, which was always appreciated. Hope he is OK and doing well.

He is fine Swanny. I am in regular contact with him as we purchased a new horse together a few months ago. I am sure when he has something interesting to tell the forum he will be back on.

That is good news, Stick, thank you very much for your prompt reply! <ok>

(Oh, and the best of luck with the new racehorse you purchased together!) :emoticon-0103-cool:

No worries Swanny. Did you see our second goal at the "Wall" this week. A finer piece of ****housery you are unlikely to see this season.

Just watched the replay highlights again. Yes, I see what you mean, was a right old piece of chicanery! You know, the R's really do have some very talented players. Willock and Chair are real stars IMHO, Dykes is as unlucky as they come but a tremendously hard-worker The most recent newcomers have started well, and Kenneth Paal is an outstanding defender. Hope we can hang on to the top players come January, but it surely will be difficult? However, if the players feel they have a good chance of promotion, then they themselves might opt to stay. Hope so.
(Erm, Tyler Roberts? Not impressed so far).

Thanks for the kind words, I had popped on today to see if Barney had done a touching eulogy of his favourite syndicate founder.

So I am often looking in, but very little to post about.

I purchased it, he is just turning up for photos with trophies and the like. You know how some folk are. Biggest news was that Stick suggested some silks in white and red. What is that all about?
