Clearly we have still 3 cups to play for so those who arrogantly declare me negative maybe might figure.out that I'm just pointing out what they don't want to admit quite yet


Eg Elliott will not tackle. Vvd is shot through, trent won't run back, salah is so far off his level etc.

That's all they hear but then they ignore when I point out Diaz performance or matip coming in to help is massively or alisson being worlds best etc.

The only thing getting us out of this is a change in system totally and admitting we can no longer play all out leaving a former top cb on his own to sort it out. Those days are gone.

hard work and commitment is the main immediate thing players.can give but klopp needs to reinvent the football system

Good news. 4231 is more than possible and that can park fabinho and thaigo with two cbs actually covering each other so the full backs can stay wide and over lap while we get 4 our of 6 forwards on the park. That's one option.

41212 is maybe possible but it's not really about formation amd more about system.of play. We cannot push all at the ball to win it and then one pass cuts us to bits. Depth of defense is now key.

 

Got too many players misfiring and confidence has to be shot now as well .

 

That back four looks abysmal, but we still took off the least worst player and replaced him with..... Milner. And that's supposed to be our first choice midfield that started today - I'll say this again: we don't have the team to play 4-3-3 anymore. Virgil is older, Trent is inept, Hendo is lightweight, Mo is 50%, and neither Elliott nor Cav are up to being anything more than developing squad players at this stage of their careers. Truly, and let this sink in, we only have two players who'd get anywhere near a Prem 11 atm - Ally and Diaz. Only three seasons ago we had six. We really haven't built from 2020 at all.

 

I can't relate to the mindset that wants to give up so easily. The people on this forum - nobody in particular - who have given up are no different in mentality to the players they are complaining about. Imagine if Klopp was like some of you and was saying 'oh what's the point boys, we may get top 4 but I'm not sure'.

Say what you see by all means but dig a bit deeper and find that spark inside you that made you a Liverpool fan in the first place. Come on you can do it.

However tsimikas played both Greece games and we've no robertson yet so we have 4 games that are vital coming. There is a certain logic to it

Carvalho and Elliott are miles off how anyone awarded Elliott potm for lfc for August and spent I don't know. The lad can't put a foot in. Now he did well going forward on the ball today but he's a black hole without the ball and his arrival coincided with Brighton improving.

You are dead right about the two players. Vvd is absolutely shot through, people don't get this but we can no longer defend with two players cos that man cannot run like he did, he can't get over and cover off any more. The system must must must change.

Good news is we don't need defenders. The bad news is we need midfielders to change how we play. Matip and vvd can cover each other and can get much closer to each other. Fabinho can play no 6 still but we need to decide who plays wide as the era of two full back wingers is over. They get no cover to not defend any more. Simple as.

 

Give up easily? We've been in decline for a while now,I just don't fall for the false dawn's anymore,seen too many of them.

 

It's difficult to watch at the moment, but we seem so disjointed. We seem to be caught between wanting to be more controlling in midfield playing higher up, but still have the workmen in there like Henderson & milner.

Trent pushing into midfield hasn't come to fruition.

It seems like klopp has tried a few new things and it just hasn't worked. We look all over the place.

But! It will sort itself out, calling players shot at every opportunity is ridiculous, of course they havnt become ****e in 6 months, we just need to find that formation or tactical switch that makes things click again.

You enjoy the good much more after you've been through the bad.

With these amount of injuries already and what we have on the bench our season is over,we'll be lucky to get top 4.Klopp should have done more about recruiting back up for midfield instead of relying on the old,infirm and **** players.

Obviously I'm as disappointed as anyone with the way we're playing at the moment, but it is what it is. We can't undo the past so now I'm focussing on where we go from here, I'll remain supportive, and will take an interest in how we cope with adversity.
Being miserable or angry over football is not the place I want to be.

 

That was me and stating facts doesn't mean you've given up.It means that you have to look at the facts and come to a conclusion.

My concern is that we had game cancellations and an international break to work on something new or a change and we come back not having changed a thing.

 

Thing is we don't seem to play well after a break.
