Well said. You don't sit top of this table by being average. We defended heroically tonight and whether we deserved the win or not, who gives a ****!

Well I thought that if we got 4 points from tonight an Friday we'd have done well, so a draw it is on Friday:emoticon-0100-smile

A very positive aspect of our squad is the bench. You look at it and wouldn't say no to any of them coming on. Not quite had that feeling in a while.

Here's the thing though Bob....... How many clear cut, heart in the mouth chances did they create? Most of their attempts were from distance which is a credit to the back 4 and Field in front of them...... Seny's save from Berger was simply stunning......

1st half they looked a class apart and we did well to stay in the game, 2nd half first 20 minutes we looked the more controlled side, moving the ball around and they seemed to stop pressing allowing us to play our natural game........ we should arguably been 2 up due to those misses from Dykes and Roberts

Last 20 minutes they resorted to humping the ball hopefully into the box where Dunne, Balugan and JCS when he came on were immense, it looked completely under control......

All in all we did a number on them tonight........ we really are a decent side.....

Can't disagree with any of that. They are not an average side but also I don't expect them to get either of the automatic spots. We have showed over the last few games that we can do all the different things necessary to win a match. Its all positive in my book.

    Game ratings
Dieng 9- fabulous again and crucial saves
Laird 8- never stopped running and defensively sound
Paal 8- excellent considering was a doubt, what a crucial player he is
Dunne 9- **** me, how many headers did he win to clear danger. Superb
Balogun 8- secure as ever and experienced leadership in 2nd half
Amos 6-not his best game and found the tempo too much after long lay off
Dozzell 6- bit like Amos, struggled to make any impact but will be important throughout the season.
Field 10- ****ing immense, covered the entire pitch and broke up so many dangerous moves. Was a true leader tonight. Invaluable
Chair 7- will have better nights but did some nice things 1st half and could've scored after great run.
Roberts 6- mmm, another in andcout game, rarely threatened and gave the ball away alot. He will need to improve alot if Willock is out for a spell.
Willock 8- nowhere near his best game but yet again mafe the difference. Those flashes of brilliance are so vital and he will be a huge miss if he's done a hammy.
Subs: all contributed to a fantastic defensive performance even if Dykes couldn't hold the ball up for a few seconds. Onwards and upwards

True, but Reading played tonight as well, albeit at home. Is playing away that much more tiring?

So, as per Clive's report from the last match, we've now won 4 away games already this season which is some sort of recent record and mirrors what we did under Warnock in 2011.

Well done The Rs. Great result. Really hoping that three points has not come at the cost of too many injuries of key players.

We need a lot of noise at HQ on Friday to help confound the False Hoops and the Sky cameras!

Hope we are not complacent, tired and/ or suffering from injuries

Over these 3 matches I was seriously worried about getting only 1 point in total...a draw with the falsies.

Really unbelievable what Beale and the lads have done
