I didn't think the red was brilliant last night anyway... A couple of times Guly was inside despite being flagged off...! Stil... 3POINTS!
As usual the tannoy system is to blame because you cannot hear a word that is said in the Kingsland South or Chapel, so most wouldn't have gathered what was asked for. Applause was good enough, silence is for wars.
It was the usual thing that we had with Papa, so fast off the mark that the lino couldn't believe he could get where he was in the time from when the ball was kicked. A dangerous ploy by Peterborough but if was effective.
Agree, the tannoy is so s**t! With all the money we have in the bank now, you would have thought they'd make it better! Such a basic thing - we don't ask for much, just the ability to hear what's actually being said during match days!
I think they used the same system which is used for most railway stations! Actually, I don't think it's as easy as you might think. The acoustics at St Mary's are difficult. You only have to look at how OWTS becomes disjointed after half a verse.
If only they could turn the volume up on the tannoy, would help with people not being able to hear properly but I would be able to hear it from my house giving me a little bit more of the match day experience when listening on the radio
Have you noticed tonights scores? Leeds 0 Blackpool 5 ft. Derby 0 Cardiff 3 ft. Good results as far as we are concerned, it's useful the others are busy kicking lumps of each other.
Your right ther are always a few disrespectful pond life who will deliberately interupt the silence........ Remember the minutes silence for Ted Bates was disrupted by pond life that don't live a million miles away from here
We mustn't keep perpetuating this...a few Pompey fans caused disruption and others tried to stop them. Saints fans reacting also disturbed the silence. Applause is better for that reason though.
Spot on - the referee got it wrong. We all went quiet and when he blew the whistle some fans thought he was signalling the end of the silence so everyone clapped and then the fans realised it wasn't the end of the silence so the applause continued so it became a minute's applause.
