A friend of mine was recommending me to get one from Ikea because they come with £10 Ikea voucher. I didn't even know Ikea did Chistmas trees tbh, but she reckons they're very good.

Oh and she can't wait to spend the voucher on a day trip to their crockery dept which apparently is also very good...where I'm sure that voucher will get her one whole saucer.

Feel like I'm getting somewhere now with organising all this.

Determined to leave the kids to it and just get out.

My in laws currently having an extension. Which the builders are making a right ****ing mess of tbh. They are weeks behind, with another 'issue' appearing yesterday.

They've not kitchen at the moment. I am now feeling a rising panic in me that they'll have pretty much moved onto my back room couch in time for Christmas and I'll be stuck with them the whole period.

The plan to go out more will help and them not being here on Christmas Day and Boxing day will also help.

My own Mum arrives 27th to the 30th.

It's during this period that time seems to stand still. Just hope to **** the weather is ok to get out.

Got sent on a mission to the local butchers (there's still a few around, even in London) to order a goose. Which I've never had before, but as far as I can tell, it's basically a ****ing big duck. Anyway, turns out the goose has to come from Poland (bet it's wings will ache after that), as all the commercially produced British geese had to be slaughtered due to avian flu. Thought you'd all like to know that....
