My older brother is the satsuma thief, this time I'm not joking Duke. The ****er is 64 and as tight as a gnats chuff .. does it every home game.
Trying to get through queues for the bar at half time and push through those who think the best place to have a chat is to lean on those metal bars meant to divert people coming out of the aisles and toilets narrowing an already narrow space you have to wonder at the person who wanted seating on the concourse.
It's a shame there seems types on Twitter and other places who will just have a go for the sake of having a go. People are giving up their spare time to attend, and even if it isn't meaningful dialogue (i.e. able to affect change), it's a way for the club to discuss plans a long way out and get a gauge of responsiveness from supporters.
But it's so easy to have a go at somebody via Twitter as it takes no effort , unlike actually attending meetings
There should always be dialogue between a club and it's supporters, however a good job they may be doing, there's always things that can be improved. Social media is progressively getting more negative, it's been a sad demise. Initially, Twitter was a great source for quick information and a place for good debate, now many of the best tweeters (like Rick for City) have left and it's mainly a place for abusing each other and sharing misinformation. It's not just social media, it's everything online and increasingly offline as well. I've been selling online for over twenty years and when I started, emails from customers read like a letter, generally very polite. Nowadays, I get more 'my order ant come, refund me now', three days after the order was placed.
half the people these days are selfish, entitled pricks maybe social media is the culprit, or the ever increasing bills and costs while wages are stagnating there's more violent crime throughout the country just a big mess
There's never any repercussions to people's actions these days, unfortunately we live in a world where people know this and will say and do things they wouldn't have done years ago or to people's faces *Edit* but on the flip side, these days there's a worryingly large amount of people who will go out their way to get offended by absolutely anything and anyone who don't align to their exact thoughts and beliefs.....
The world is being pushed to its extremes in both directions. People get annoyed that people get offended easily so they go out of their way to be more rude and abrasive, and similarly people get upset that people aren't listening to their needs so become more critical and precious about every little thing people say. The middle ground is being lost, rapidly. Not sure what the world looks like in 10-15 years.
View attachment 260002 We get so many emails each week which read like they are a tweet or text message, this one was Saturday. No 'Hello' or any sort of greeting, just an email at 11pm on a saturday then a crappy tweet on the Sunday. I'm really sorry our customer service was closed on Saturday night at 11pm Tom!
Some can be quite entertaining, this is one I received last week from a customer in South Africa... The shoes were meant to be a present for my brother on the Ethiopian Christmas celebration that was on the seventh, but DPD ruined it all! I honestly regret ever buying the shoes from you, and I'm gonna beat my African drums the whole night through, so that you can feel the pain I'm feeling. You have crossed King Selassie I.
Remember people talking during the early days of the pandemic and 1st lockdown that it could well be some sort of social reset. Yeah, rite!! As you allude to Syd, the way things have been going, it's increasingly concerning what the hell it will be like in another 10-15 years.
That is a cracker! I don't mind the entertaining ones, it is just the rude people who cannot be bothered with a greeting or thank you and just demand answers. Thankfully the girls do not reply in the same way, I certainly would if I was in Customer Service.
Conversely, for those of us who still remember the manners that we were dragged up with, doing the minimum of speaking calmly and refraining from swearing, and even using "please" and "thank you" gets startling results these days. I've even had customer services people thanking me at the end of an interaction, which makes me wonder what kind of crappy shift they're putting in if solving my problem is a highlight of the day! Too many people these days used to bots and twitter to remember that there are human beings on the other end.

Whilst there is something inherently funny / odd about mascots (as I recall Dom Joly exploited on Trigger Happy TV) it must be pretty ****e turning up to work and being ‘grabbed inappropriately’.
