Thanks mate. Knew you would have a good idea on him. Reading his pedigree it seems like he is the signing out of all them where I am thinking how have they pulled that off, up until now the players we have got in young lads that needed a chance like Clarke, Roberts, Cirkin but this lad was involved at a very good level but has been persuaded and excited by what the club are doing with a young team!
I've never heard of him but going off what you and others say and his achievements to date we've clearly pulled something off here. Really exciting times for the present and the future. Seems like Dreyfus and co have it all figured out and they've only been here 5 minutes.
Yeh I agree in principle that another year would give us a stronger base I also see what lads are saying about the money if we go up but what I fear is the not so sensible brigade who would be booing and screaming and shouting at a young team if things wernt going to plan
Behave, Neil used to be weak in midfield but think he is now in the top 10 for tackles in the league. He averages an 85% pass success rate which is great considering a lot of his passes are forward passes. He also wins 55% of his defensive duels which is high for a CM
I’m hyper about this signing, BUT if he’s as good as you all are saying, why is he signing for us, and not a bigger club with CL aspirations. I’m assuming he’s lost his way? Bart
No worries mate. I'll admit I havent seen him loads but as soon as we were linked with him I watched some of his games & highlights and he's impressive. Another cteative player that we can build around
I'm in the same boat ad you mate know nowt about him, with me apply the same to most players these days unless they play for us I'm unlikely to see them. But reading the level he has been playing at recently is exciting and probably the one player I have looked at and thought ****ing hell this model is going to be exciting. As I said before the other young lads until now needed a chance to kick-start their careers doesn't seem like he does!
He fell out with the manager at Lille in the summer as he was refusing to sign a contract. Think quite a few clubs were after him but says something about the club that we can attract him. He played champions league football last season so wouldnt say he lost his way as such
the players we are getting physically and facially look the business and don't look like the clodhopping quasimodos we were constantly unveiling in the past.
I can't stop grinning with all this positivity. Great time to be following the lads. Top football, team spirit in bucket loads and an owner who is working wonders. Brilliant.
I know its an opinion mate and I didnt mean to have a go. I'm just pointing out the stats, I agree at the start of the season he looked a little lost at times and disappeared at times however, he has been different class since the world cup break. I have watched him closely and his 1st thought is to play forward, as a former coach thats actually one of the hardest things to teach a player - most just want to play safe. The boy is going to the top and hopefully with us
Obviously a leftie but it looks like his right leg isn't just for standing on, looks comfortable using it. Incredible control and dribbling.
