Completely outclassed Forest earlier in the season with a 4-1 win but with a weakened side to night still 0-0 nearing HT
Max Dean did well when he came on but will be interesting to see what happens coming up to the summer as his contract ends in June. This kid was excellent for the U18s scoring goals and as a 17yo was part of our U23 title winning squad and scoring goals when he got the chance, but was behind Joffy and Greenwood. When these guys and Summerville moved to the first team Sonny Perkins and Mateo Joseph Fernandez were brought in, and last season ended early for him with an ankle injury. So this season he was still getting fit and got a chance to start against Newcastle and he scored a harpy-trick. Joseph will probably move to the first team squad and still play for the 21s, but what will we do about young Max who’s now 18yo. We have had enquiries from a few EFL clubs about him. Do we keep him for the 21s next season, give him a new deal and loan him out?
Love a harpy trick me Doc Not even teasing really, that genuinely made me smile on a grey Saturday morning
Tonight in York 7pm kick off LNER Stadium. Leeds U21s V WBA U21s, wonder if Carlos Corberan will be attending. A lot of Championship scouts deffo will
With Dramah, Gyabi, Joseph and Perkins all starting it looks like we could be giving Cardiff a bit more respect on Wednesday. I'd still expect the fringe players to play against Cardiff. The likes of Robles, Llorente, Firpo, Kristensen, Greenwood, Bamford, Gelhardt will probably start.
Wheels coming off for some reason. Undefeated top of the league, huge goal difference and for some reason including a biased ref we lose last time out and struggling this time too. Joseph and Perkins come on….
All over, beaten again and Joseph, Gyabi and Drameh all played the full 90 so shouldn’t be involved in Wednesday
Looks like Sonny Perkins will be at the Wham Stadium tomoz in the FA Cup Lets get back to winning please lads
Looks like losing 3 on the bounce which is just amazing after being unbeaten and top of the league by a mile 3 weeks ago. This is what happens when the majority are kids
