Most 0 0 draws sound dull boring affairs but this was anything but boring, we forced the issue for the majority of the time although they did have a dominant period for the first 20 minutes of the second half. We had the upper hand especially in the first half when we hit the bar and had one cleared off the line, every player in a blue shirt put in a shift, they seemed determined to take the game to Burnley at every opportunity roared on by the 25000+ crowd, man of the match for me was Greg Leigh who gave it the whole nine yards and again some. I know it will be a tough game at Turf Moor but theres nothing to be afraid of.
I think Harness can be too cute trying to pick out the corner or just under the bar and not finding the net. He should take a leaf out of Chaplin’s book and have a go at smashing it toward goal every now and again.
It had to be them. Wednesday are going to be either our nemesis or free ticket this season. Depends which of us have more steel!
I’m convinced they are heading back to the Championship and it’s between us, Plymouth and Derby for the second spot.
They have been in fairly poor form, points to make up and have themselves a brutal run of fixtures coming up, I think they’ll be out of the play off zone by the end of March.
While this might be a chat for later in the season, I am confident that if we did stay in the play-offs we would see any team off the park. Provided KM raised their spirits after inevitable disappointment, and there was no frigging fog about!
we have Bolton, Derby, Barnsley & Peterborough away, plus Wednesday at home. would you describe those as brutal ?
Ours are nicely spread out - Barnsley have them pretty much back to back, which surely will wear them out. They will face seven of the top half in a row. The current top three plus Wycombe knocking on the play off door back to back to back to back.
