    I found this on Twitter, most of the time it is a cesspit but I still use it mostly for the music like this

    As my hearing is shot to pieces thanks to Blue Oyster Cult and working in the motor trade most of my life, it would not bother me if this beauty was not perfect sound wise, as long as I can play my record deck and CD player through it I want it

    How much? Back in the day when I spent way too much on Audio stuff a friend pulled apart an old pioneer deck and fitted it onto a molded cement slab with a patio slab as a base , the sound was fantastic and it took a herd of elephants to make it jump ,He did the same with speaker bases and the racking that the amp and deck were placed, needless to say he also had to re- enforce the floor of the 1890s house he lived in , when he moved they mysteriously got left behind for the next owner to deal with
    Edit I've just read through this after posting <laugh> you must think I am the policeman in 'Allo 'Allo!

    <laugh>...the things that get left in houses. In our current house, we found a deconstructed restraining bench in the garage. I don't think it had ever been assembled and the instructions were missing. It took ages to work out how to put it together.

    The deck was something like £600 or £700 and was a Ron Arad copy...

    RIP Tom Verlaine , the guitar sound from this album is unforgettable, grim reaper is working his way through my record collection, I saw them twice in 78, Glastonbury and an absolutely packed town and country club , that night they were immense

    It's one of those albums that beat the hype , I first heard it at Submarine records in Watford and brought it and the 12" single at the same time I liked it that much , when I changed to CDs it was one of the first I brought

    We're off to see Wingmen in Brighton tomorrow. The topic of the day will rightly be Tom Verlaine's passing.

    If I'm honest, Television completely passed me by at the time, and although I've heard stuff subsequently I've never been particularly enthralled. However, what I will say is that without Television this track would probably never have existed, as from what I can make out it's a thinly veiled swipe at them. It's always been my favourite track on Music for Pleasure, and a constant reminder of Television whenever I hear it.

    A really good afternoon and evening in Brighton yesterday. A word out to the security staff, who were fabulous.

    Wingmen were excellent, as were The Witchdoktors. I missed the other support band, as Mrs B and I got into a long chat with Seggs and Ruffy from The Ruts and Kirk Brandon. They are all top blokes, who didn't venture away from the bar during the whole night...I have pictures of me looking like an excited toddler with the fellas from The Ruts...I love those guys.

    Also in attendance was Monty from The Damned, most of Johnny and the Mopeds, DJ Peter Fox and a load of others.Spent a great train journey back to Croydon with a widespread collection of punk faces, which was great.

    Monty told Mrs B that the missing Friday Damned gig will be going ahead and it's going to be a 'special' with limited ticket numbers and some treats for those in attendance.

    ===========GIG NEWS===========

    Siouxsie Sioux has announced 3 more dates this summer, in Europe...but the inside track is that there are more dates coming...in the US and UK. So, those who are interested, watch this space.

    Finally, in line with what Monty told Mrs B, on Sunday, The Damned's Friday date at Ally Pally has finally been confirmed....Hurrah!

    On the grounds that they've had our money for a couple of months, it's not that much to ask for....is it?

    For those of a Buzzcocks persuasion....30 June @ The 100 Club - do not delay because tickets won't last long!
