Watching Rams and the Iron , Dobbin on loan from Everton looks decent and Roberts on loan from Brighton looks quick too - just in case Ben Arfa doesn’t come back !!
In the game against Fulham he looked more than capable. There's a player in there and judging from interviews Rosenior thinks the same
What are we all hoping for tomorrow then? Taking a quick look at our squad, there's a few areas id like to see us bolster. GK - Ingram / Darlow / Lo-Tutala LB - Elder / Greaves CB - Greaves / McLoughlin, Jones, Figs RB - Christie / Coyle CM - Seri / Tufan / Woods / Doc / Slater / Simons CAM - Pelkas / Tufan / Traore RW/LW - Longman / Connolly / Ebiowei / Tetteh / Allahyar / Pelkas ST - Oscar / Tetteh / Connolly / Allahyar / Smith Just my opinion obviously, but a leftback or cover at centreback is vital, depending where Liam sees Greaves playing for the rest of the season. If I were to be greedy, a proper no.10 would be nice. The Arsenal kid hasnt worked out and Vale has gone back to Chelsea. We do have options for that position in Tufan & Pelkas but I think Tufan is better played a bit deeper and Pelkas out wide. There's plenty of room for rotation as many of our players can play multiple positions, especially across the front 3.
The noises coming out of the Manager and Baz today suggests the only Incoming will be the Newcastle keeper.
Well he did so he's played more than the 20 minutes you seem to think he's played. Against a PL side.
I doubt it straight away, and even if we were going to play with that kind of DM we'd need 2 competing for the shirt to push eachother and to provide cover.
I don't doubt there's potential, but that's still all it is. He's one for the future like lo tutala, covill, the Uruguayan kid and potentially Vaughan etc.
Simons hasn’t played for Chelsea this season, which is why Millwall, Swansea and Bristol are trying to get Chelsea to recall him and loan him to them (we still have no guarantee we can keep him). None of the clubs wanting him on loan see him as one for the future, they want him to play now and based on his FA Cup performance, he looks more than ready.
