Well I watched the Wales game and Dan James did absolutely fine and there were no complaints from any of the travellling support. Just more keyboard warriors I'm guessing.
Man I i reckons Gnonto has a sprained ankle and from experience that can mean he’ll be ok fast with support or could be a couple of weeks.
Final thought on the Dan James thing. The one thing he has is fantastic pace and another player with pace who I always thought was absolute trash is Kyle Walker, who's subsequently gone on to have a very successful career. Can we find a role for Dan James that makes him a better player ? For me he should be coming on in the last 20 mins when we're holding onto a lead and using that pace to hurt teams who are all out attack. Please don't underestimate the importance of closing games out and Fulham have been using him in that role this season which has helped them secure many close wins.
Just like Aidy White no end product and runs into cul de sacs. He is a top Championship player at best and a real weapon but too easily countered in the Premier league. Pace is great but is he as skilful as Gnonto, Sinisterra or Summerville or even Harrison. If only he could play at full back he would be awesome
As well as Dan James being moved on and probably at a loss. We need to offload Poveda who is now hardly playing in a poor Blackpool team and then there’s the consummate never player Tyler Roberts. Shackelton needs selling too.
There were goals and assists from Dan James though, granted not enough and too often his final ball was hit and hope rather than a pass. Add in the fact he was played as a lone striker and you have a case for giving him another shot under a different coach. Plus at the end of the day he's our player and a player with some potential so we should be utilizing him. If we could get most of money back then fair enough, but no point writing off that kind of investment when the lad can serve a useful purpose. The full back thing made me think of Ashley Young who converted into a full back and then had a far better career as a result.
I remember that Ian Harte started out as a striker, & Spewall was a full back before they hit the 1st team.

Reminded me of Chris Sutton, Dion Dublin, Paul Warhurst and the legendary John Charles. This is the ONLY thing the others have in common with the gentle giant though.
