That can't be right can it? If clubs are buying players just based on data it's not surprising that the success rate is so poor. However much data you have there is no substitute for an experienced eye looking at a player during the course of a whole game or series of games.
It's swings and roundabouts On the one hand Harry Redknapp is on record saying that Ian Broomfield sold him on Sandro, who was certainly under the radar as Premier League clubs didn't tend to have South American scouting teams at the time and likely still don't compare to Spanish or Portuguese teams in terms of scouting there even now On the other hand there's times where managers overrule scouts, most obviously Poch being all-in for Ndombele when surely the concerns about his stamina and workrate would have been made clear to him by our scouts
Also you think if that's the case, why even bother employing scouts if they add zero value? to waste money? They are obviously important as every single club employs scouts
Levy will not have a clue what he is doing, he won`t know what kind of manager he wants and will stumble from one candidate to the next, it will probably be the Nuno fiasco all over again. A financial genius, but an absolute farcical clown of a football club chairman. We will all be here in 12/18/24 months time having the exact same debate, meanwhile Levy will have opened a ten pin bowling alley, amusement arcade etc and Spurs will have still won fack all.
Not a surprise it's hit a speedbump, given one of the three prosecutors was caught on camera saying "I despise Juventus" a couple of weeks ago
I think the point is that you can comment if you don't like it. Just as you do when contrary opinions are posted.
Here's a conundrum for the "Levy needs to stay out of footballing decisions" crowd Paratici is reportedly pitching Tuchel or Conceicao Levy is pitching Nagelsmann or Poch Which of those shortest of shortlists are people on here more in agreemnt with?
