Since there is no real football to talk about for a few days I could do with a helping hand from you guys. I am set to run a quiz night soon and one of the rounds that we are doing is a sort of Pointless style round, guessing the least said answer to a group of things. So I need to gather as many peoples answers as possible. If you could I would like you to give ONE answer to each of these things: 1. A member of the Beatles (as the 'Fab Four') 2. Shouldn't take long, just need One answer per and any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I had to google this, google tells me The Masters is a major, and since that is near to here, I'll go with that.
I wasn't sure if a major was an event at one golf course or something like the Premier League where they play at a bunch of different courses... Masters is the only one I've heard of because half my coworkers live in Augusta... well besides Pebble Beach, I've heard of that, but I don't think that's a major. All I know about golf is that it's a bunch of rich men with sticks avoiding work and sexy lesbians using it as an excuse to have lots of hot steamy lesbian sex. I didn't want to look at other people's answers before answering because I felt like that might influence what I said and would detract from what Roger was asking.
I'm shocked at the lack of golf knowledge based on a group of old codgers. Of any of these questions i really didn't expect a pointless answer to be there given what they are but i'd have though the US Open, Masters, "the open" and the US PGA would have been well known. I knew someone who played torey pines and pebble beach all the time but he was a failed lawyer type who fancied himself and worked in a tech company in a legal role. they'd be really upset you couldn't just rattle these off.
I did have to guess a Turtle just had a recollection they were named after italian artists so just picked one of the best known .
I mean, I've heard of all those, just didn't know they were majors or even what major signified other than maybe a big event. (although I didn't realise there was one just called the "Open" I thought there was an Open in every country). Never played golf, never deliberately read anything on golf, and never watched golf for more than five minutes. To me it lands at the cricket and American Football level of boring. I've done putt putt which was fun, and a friend took me to a driving range once which was OK. My wife's friend recently suggested we put in an frisbee golf course in our woods using the trails as fairways. Now, that sounds more fun than real golf... Although looking at the price of each "hole", I probably won't do it.
ahem there is only one and the best the open. the one in blighty. aka all others are more copies. oh and golf is boring. it's the waiting for some other turd to hack about in front of you constantly. it's about the 5th circle of hell from my point of view.
I'm happy with whatever, answers and wrong answers are just as useful. Ideally I just need a good spread so that I can put a point value on each answer (So its like a cross between Pointless and Family Fortunes)
