On Planet Bolshevik Bangor, there appears to be limited access to events on Planet Earth.

You may not have noticed that Populist Boris and Rishi came up with a con called “Levelling Up”, where they were going to buy Red Wall voters to stay in power. During the pandemic lockdowns – that Labour would have made even longer – they threw money around like it grew on trees, so now we have a country where most of the population had got used to staying at home doing very little but still getting paid. There was no need to vote for Corbyn in 2019 because Sunak effectively did most of what Marxist McDonnell had planned other than nationalise everything.

All the politicians and football pundits grumbling on Twitter seem to be Leftie hypocrites. Richard Burgon claims over £200k expenses every year but hates the idea that other MPs are doing second jobs as only stupid dolts in East Leeds think he is up to his current job.

If only that were true. Your idea of benevolent companies paying taxes to fund services is as wild as the magic money tree. Companies worldwide (not just in the UK) do anything and everything to avoid paying taxes and governments simply farm to them “as it creates jobs”. Companies then claim that creating jobs increases tax revenues - how demeaning. The workers get taxed and the companies get Tax breaks and the rich get richer.

I made no mention of benevolence by companies and I expect them, just like me, to take every measure possible to minimise their tax bill. The fact that the Chancellor has put up Corporation Tax to 25 per cent is hardly good news for competitiveness when the rate of equivalent tax in other countries is markedly lower (why some big companies have announced that they are building new facilities in Ireland where the rate is significantly lower). In the 2021/22 tax year, receipts from Corporation Tax were £68bn and companies also paid around £22bn in business rates but the two combined is still dwarfed by just VAT alone at £143bn.

Companies do get tax break incentives to encourage investment, research and development. If the rich run the companies and the companies are successful, they do provide employment for other people. There is nothing to stop the employed people going out and starting their own companies to enrich themselves.

Jobs do create tax revenues as I expect that much of the £225bn income tax and £161bn National Insurance was paid by employees (although employers do pay half the NICs). According to ONS estimates, there are 5.8 million public sector employees and 27 million private sector employees so the State employs about a fifth of the workforce; many of whom are on strike for better pay that they could get by moving to the private sector.

Anyone listen to the recent interview by Andrew Marr with Sir Max Hastings on LBC? Man, that was something else. Max did not pull any punches when he said the most dangerous people in the UK were the lunatics of the extreme-right of the conservative party, i.e. Jacob Rees-Mogg, Iain Duncan Smith, Nadine Dorries, et al. Hastings pointed-out that the British people were just not interested in the views of these people, who will drag-down their party for years to come, unless they are shown-up for what they represent. Strange, how the most dangerous politicians are sitting right on one's doorstep.

As for Boris J., Hastings suggested he was a historian, comedian, journalist of sorts, but never a politician. He would do well on the stage, (and would, in my opinion, be a popular first-choice for a top role in a kids' pantomime come Christmas-time?)

I never heard Sir Max Hastings on LBC but I am sure that he has his axe to grind as he regularly changes his political affiliation. I bet he was at Heseltine’s 90th birthday party.

Iain Duncan Smith is generally quite well regarded but perhaps Max is a Remainer.

If people are not interested in Nadine Dorries, I wonder how come the media give her views airtime. She does seem to be some sort of crazed Boris disciple but there are plenty out there that still want Boris back (despite the fact that he is a more blatant liar than most other politicians).

Jacob Rees-Mogg has always been Tory Marmite. Double barrel name, wealthy, privately educated puts him firmly in the old Tory mould on the Party’s right.

The reality is that most of the current political class (all parties) are next to useless, many of them virtually career politicians with little experience of the real world that they want to control.

The Conservatives could well be terminally damaged and the Labour Party will not be far behind them. In Scotland the SNP continues to immolate as more Scots realise that it is an incompetent one-trick pony. I am not sure too many people would be too bothered if all the existing parties were swept away. Much of Gen Z has been brainwashed with Communism so they can have their way when us old folks are gone.

Well I guess Brits know where they stand with this Biden fellow, as if they didn't know beforehand. He makes it pretty bloody obvious about his dislike, no hatred, for the British. Sod him!

Why is anyone surprised that the American state hates us?
Their sub-agenda in WW2 was to bring about the end of the British Empire. Whatever one feels about that Empire it was not their job to do it.
Yet their own record on diplomacy and foreign policy is horrible. Israel, South America, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq: little to be proud of.

Yet they support Eire, a country who stayed neutral in WW2 and whose president publicly regretted the death of Adolf Hitler. This at the time American boys were laying down their lives in Europe.
I say this knowing there were many thousands of brave Irish who fought for the Allies.

Perhaps that is being a little unkind to the dementia riddled old fool, as he is an octogenarian. He was the “not Donald Trump” candidate so the Woke identity and diversity generation, especially the Lefties, flocked to him. The Democrats added the token black woman to the ticket to get the people of colour vote and she would get the job if he checks out.

You thought it could not get any worse after The Donald but it did; and if the world is unlucky the choice at the next election will be the same. Of course The Donald still thinks he won last time.

There were no reported incidents of him falling asleep during his Irish tour, although he hardly put in a lot of hours; and he is just the puppet of the Woke regime that has already spent trillions of dollars from the Magic Money Forest. In Britain we have got to wait for Ed Miliband to throw trillions into the Net Zero 2030 black hole.

We need to stop bothering with the Special Relationship guff as it is a relationship that has only worked in one direction for decades.

After watching the barbarism of Saturday and the fallout from it I think it's time to ban it.
Yes Brian May should be ended. He's riddled pop music with crap guitar solos for the last 50 years and now he's expressing opinions. Isn't it time we got rid of this shameful thing carrying on under the banner of entertainment. It's gone on too long.

New Zealand cat-killing competition for children axed after backlash

The things that get brought up as a good idea in this world of ours, encouraging children to kill stray cats, simply boggles the mind...!!

A children's cat-hunting competition in New Zealand has been cancelled following backlash to the event.

Organisers of an annual hunt were criticised after they announced a new category for children to hunt feral cats, which are a pest in New Zealand.

Youngsters were told to not kill pets, but they were otherwise encouraged to kill as many feral cats as possible for a prize of NZ$250 (£124; $155).

The event drew immediate condemnation from animal welfare groups.

On the “Cover Today” advert, the woman claiming to be in her fifties looks very young for her age. While you are calling their friendly British team, you can consider that 10 per cent inflation will make the £22k payout only worth £19.8k next year and it will decline every subsequent year. She claims that she has only got a few years until she retires but she could have 17 if she is 51, which would be a quarter of her life at that point.

On the “British Seniors Over 50s Plan” advert, the woman claiming to be fifty when asked her age by the call centre girl (the friendly UK team) looks very old for her age, definitely the other side of sixty judging by the grey hair, lined face and neck skin.

Mathematical genius Carol Vorderman is still fronting the “Sun Life Over 50s Plan” so she is still quite comfortable with the fact that pretty much anyone that takes one out and lives 20 years will pay in more than their beneficiaries get out – but they get a gift card for starting it. I bet she got paid well for the advert and got Gary Lineker’s accountant to sort out the taxes while she criticises every Tory for avoiding them. Now in her sixties, our Carol is restricting herself to just five or six men, presumably so she can rest on the Sabbath.

The people peddling these plans all day have surely missed all the diversity and inclusivity seminars as everyone is white. Do all the people of colour die before they are 50? What about women with penises?
