Bit random but just bagged a reasonably priced ticket to see John Cleese in Guildford tomorrow night. Still unsure how to get to Guildford but feels like a once in a lifetime moment given his age ..never mind mine! Anyone else going?

Loved Guildford when living down South. Let me know where are you coming from and perhaps I can help.

    Anyone like hot chilli?

Got this yesterday, xxx hot selection from Mr Vikki's, based in Keswick. Used to buy the queen naga from his market stall in Keswick whenever we were there. I order the Queen and King naga regularly, but thought I would try a few new ones....the XXX hot chilli jam is superb.

Been trying to book a week away in the Motörhome....West Coast of Scotland.

    Sounds easy....

Not when you have to try and book holiday dialysis it's not. Finding it just about impossible to get booked in anywhere, seems every dialysis unit and hub is fully booked. Spoke to a lovely lady at Ayr general hospital who is going to try her best to give us a slot on a Tuesday and Thursday sometime in July. If she can arrange it, we are looking at Culzean Castle....go Saturday afternoon after dialysis here, then come back on the Friday afternoon for Saturday morning dialysis in Gateshead.

Never would have thought the first thing on the list of holiday destination essentials is dialysis availability, and location is secondary.

Coming from Croydon. So train or driving an option it seems. Not worked out what's best option yet!

Not sure how easy train is for you but GLive is less than 10 minutes walk from the station. (I'm assuming thats where you are going) Driving in is easy (M25 then A3) and central Guildford becomes a one way system. Plenty of car parking available. Enjoy :emoticon-0148-yes:

Hope you both have a smashing trip . Puts things in perspective when you see people commenting on their “ ruined holiday” just because the tomato sauce wasn’t Heinz

ToT, this is the best advice by train, also means you can relax and have a drink, or two. Enjoy the show.

FFS man, this Eurovision shyte <doh>

The way they're reporting this, on almost every programme, you'd think it was the World Cup final ...

... it's like a big version of an LGBT party, just with worse music

The clips that I've (accidentally) seen on BBC (who aren't half making a meal of it) make it obvious that it's just a Pride parade . . . . as if they don't already get too much publicity <doh>

Drove to Guildford in the end to see John Cleese show, very enjoyable evening. He's working on a stage play of Wanda and also updating Life of Brian for the stage too. The new Fawlty Towers spin off is very different, he said himself is impossible to match the original so had to be very different to even entertain it. Set in the Carribbean.

I know that not many of us are rugby fans, but I can’t imagine that many would fail to be moved by this . . . .
