In light of Ninian's suggestion on the 22/23 thread, here's the one for the new season.

Can you make it a sticky, Sparks?

    And unstick the old one?

    Job done. <ok>

Off with the old and on with the new - but what will it bring? A new manager? A new owner?

Some new posters would be a bonus (people posting, not things to stick on the wall).

It's all gone quiet from the club.

Yes, that is a concern. WoL making things up to justify their existence. No change there I suppose.

They probably had to wait for Big Sam’s availability!

Seriously I don’t mind it being quiet as long as we get the right manager in. By that I mean someone who genuinely has the ability and passion to improve our team and who is not looking for a payday given the constrictions he will have to work with.

I'm struggling with a negativity that I haven't experienced before. I agree that the club needs a good manager that can help us turn the corner. However, if by any chance we were able to get such a person, I can't help feeling he would have the enthusiasm sucked out if him by Vince and the board and if he was really good, Vince would find a way to get rid of him.
I really do apologise for such a downbeat contribution but I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel whilst the Tan regime stays in place. Of course I am genuinely grateful that he saved the club but now it feels like the club is an increasingly disregarded possession of his.
Of course, we'll give the boys in blue our unwavering support.

As I have repeatedly said, until someone stumps up £200m or thereabouts or can agree some sort of equivalent deal then Tan will stay. Even if not in his best interests.

We need some sort of onfield success to make us an attractive proposition to any potential buyer.

I absolutely agree that some sort of success would make us a more viable proposition but that requires the right manager and board in order to achieve the required success
So as Sparkey says, it's chicken and egg. Hence my frustration.

But expecting VT to just walk away satisfies neither the meat eater nor the vegetarian - if you get my drift.

As the Stones said, "You can't always get what you want" although they also said something about getting what you need a few lines later.

    Talk about contradiction......

The one thing that sticks in my mind is Rhino kicking the ball from the halfway line to our corner flag to give them a corner and they score and Tan gets the blame for that while Rhino gets away scot free. Max Waters goes 8games without a goal and Tan gets the blame? Hudson goes 10 games without winning one and Tan gets the blame. The manager picks the team so he is to blame for playing them but the players are to blame for not giving 100% and as we saw it only takes a few useless players to cost us games.

I’d be quite content with the club adopting a tried and test football business ethic like most other clubs; and not be in the control of a cabal of a few people whom have little if any idea how to competently run a football club.

It might be the club are finding it difficult to attract a manager who’d be willing to risk his career on managing a club with no football infrastructure at board level and a club who doesn’t employ football personnel outside the playing staff.

Moreover come to a club with a transfer embargo, and thus limited ability to bring in the type of players needed to compete at this level.

For someone Like Tan with no idea how to run a football club it is amazing he has two promotions to the premier league one as champions and an fa cup final and a league cup final to his credit it is like the eighth wonder of the world.
