What, after he jumps ship to join us??? (Though I do note he's dropped off the odds list on WoL now ... Like it was ever a realistic option )
Yes no danger of under valuing the local derby if he was in charge. Red meat only diet for the players the week before.
I see Wigan have just got an additional 4 point deduction on top of the 4 they already had. Shame they didn't stay up last season. Starting with their 8 point deduction would have meant we couldn't be in bottom spot for at least 3 weeks.
Has the club joined the Mafia? We seem to be suffering an Omerta, the Mafia vow of silence. Worryingly, there appears to be nothing to report at a time when an early appointment of our new manager is essential to start preparations for 23/24, on and off the pitch. Alternatively perhaps the board have it all in hand, just keeping it under wraps until the new man is signed, sealed and delivered. Somehow I doubt it.......
The silence does seem to be rather deafening. In saying that, we've all agreed previously that the club have dropped clangers in being too quick to appoint people to the managerial position, so if on this rare occasion they actually ARE taking the time to appoint someone who has a genuinely decent background then maybe, just maybe we need to cut them some slack? Of course, we could wait weeks, be well behind the curve and every other bugger in the division and still see a complete waster appointed. Unfortunately until the club tell the world what is happening we'll continue to be like the proverbial mushrooms... Kept in the dark and fed poop by the likes of Wales Online This is a time for patience and calm... We should all be enjoying our summer off rather than fretting about things beyond our control.... The more I think about it, the more I worry there's something wrong with us.... Do we have issues? Should we start some kind of self help therapy group?? Is THIS our self help therapy group??? Aaaargh, more caffeine and alcohol required
I don't think that's a fair reflection of all Bluebird fans. As I recall, even prior to Morison taking charge of the first team many of us were saying that rather than short term success, we'd like to see progress and stability at the club. Patience is a prerequisite to being a Bluebird and I think we have it in abundance, but there's nothing impatient about calling out the wrongs as we see them.
Very true Clingo but in our position we need an early decision on the new man. 1. Decisions on who to keep and get rid of in addition to those out of contract. 2. Playing tactics. 3. New signings to fit with the tactics. 4. Overall team building and motivation. 5. Gelling with the board and owner. 6. Creating a relationship with the fans. 7. Anything else I can't think of. The longer this apparent inactivity continues the harder it will be to achieve the above.
A new name in the frame, one Oscar Garcia. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar Not managed anywhere for more than 2 years - quite often much less. Contributed to the energy generated by Watford's revolving door in 2014.
Agree with all of that. I think we may have been conversing at cross purposes. It's clear to my addled brain now though.
Maybe the delays are because we're also looking at a director of football too? Well, we can hope can't we???
