It's good to know the club are taking all internal opinions into account including the women's team/squad.
I will be happy the club have made the right decision either way because they are privy to far more information than we are.

Can you imagine if they pull some mad rabbit out of the hat and decide to just keep him?

    **** sake.

Not sure I'd actually put that past the Glazers, not paying him off/getting a transfer fee, means less money they can steal, but any new owner should be nowhere near this as an option.

He leaves this summer, one way or the other.

I would imagine he will fall among the "released" category.

Paper talk that West Ham are the bookies favourites to sign Maguire. Seems good business if we can work out a cash plus player deal and take Rice off their hands for £50m instead of the silly money they are asking for him.

Really surprised that he’s not been willing to move to get first team football. His high wages must be a hindrance as only very few clubs are able to match what he’s on and they will think he’s not worth the money anyway. He can run his contract down and end down his career at some football league clubs or revive his career in the premiership with lower wages.

He's England captain as well. That position is going to look more and more ridiculous if he's sat on the bench most weeks. In fact him playing for England looks a ridiculous decision from Southgate when he's claiming to pick people on form.

There's a good defender in Maguire, it's just that he came in at a time when we were an absolute shambles defensively and it's broken him. Playing for a big club like United has just confounded that as he just can't deal with the pressure so will never recover.

Personally I don't think he's been the same player since he was arrested. For some reason that incident stripped his confidence away.

I have a feeling the sale is off, just not announced yet

The Glazers originally wanted £4.5bl and were that in the first round of bidding.
Realising they could get more they have held two more rounds of bidding and pushed the offers to around £5.6bl.

Now they have decided the club is worth £6bl plus.
Their greed will never reach a level that satisfies them.

If this turns out to be the case, there needs to be a complete revolt from the fans. Not some fancy protects, but real impactful stuff that the greedy bastards know that they are not to ever show their faces around. They have become so openly brazen in their pursuit for wealth that they never earned.

I'll add this as well Diego. Remember, the ppl handling the so-called sale urged the Qatari's to put a bid in, in the first place.

I think the whole thing has been an exercise using the Qatari's as stalking horses to see how high they could drive the price with bonifide purchasers like Radcliffe.

Where they shoot themselves in the foot is the share price will plummet when they pull out. But I doubt they'll give a fck.

    Glazers are scum mate.

For all the criticism you can lay at the City owners they genuinely have some desire to improve the club and the surrounding area for the community. We have leeches, utter scum.

The share price is completely arbitrary anyway. There’s very little relevance to their ability to negotiate whatever they want given they have the absolute controlling stake which is why we are in this mess to begin with.

The crazy part is that football by itself as it is currently set up to be a group affair doesn’t generate enough revenue and income for the clubs in the group. Which is why I don’t know if Ineos Group will ever be able to justify buying the club outright as the Sheik (this is actually hilarious typing it!).

The only wild horse that I see is that in the not too distant future, each club will take back its own broadcasting rights from group TV deals. That will be huge for big club owners which is what I think most of them are eyeing. This is perhaps why the Glazers are not in a rush to sell. Of course this scenario will be disastrous for the smaller teams.

    ^^^^

This only happens if the European super league happens.

    All on America that.

Hopefully it won't, it certainly won't if the premier league as it is remains.

With the way that sports is going in general, I think it is a matter of when than if. Ultimately football will become less equitable as the big guns seek to take it all and kill off traditional principles that created the connection with the fans.

Not sure that will ever happen.
There are really only a small number of teams that will attract individual contracts which would mean smaller teams only got a share of TV revenue when they played those teams.

Never heard of him until now. I have subsequently watched his YouTube videos and I didn’t see the versatility of Kim Min Jae in distribution of the ball from the back. Of course this observation is just from YouTube videos. But I like that he’s 6’3” and with strong frame. Maybe we will get 2 defenders and move Martinez out of the defence into defensive midfield position which will also be a great option.

Things will move faster if these greedy idiots actually just sell the club as soon as possible.
