I've got tabs open permanently on BV and Skybet looking for a clue. They were fluctuating all the time last week as they normally do reflecting activity, but neither of them has moved at all for the last 5 days.
Having just said that above, Nathan Jones has now gone to 7/4 favourite with BV and 2/1 favourite with Skybet..
I just wish they'd get a deal done. One extreme to another. From rushing into internal appointments within hours to protracted searches around the globe. They still wont get it right, but at least the manager will have a fighting chance of getting a few half decent players in.
Well according to The Grandstand on Twitter Nathan Jones has agreed terms. Not sure if it’s true though.
Apart from his recent spell at Chaves (who?) hardly a sparkling cv. We're getting a new foreign bloke each day.
City won the Algarve Cup back in the day https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport.../jones-delight-bluebirds-lift-algarve-2166369
My brother in law, now deceased, was on holiday at Vale do Lobo and went to all the games. Had a great time.
Shifted a few posts from this thread onto the "away from football" thread as they seemed more appropriate - hope you guys don't mind.
Steve Cotterill is available - just been sacked by Shrewsbury (very harsh IMHO - he was doing a good job there on a shoestring budget). Cardiff is mentioned in this article as one of his possible options: https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...-manager-set-to-leave-league-one-club-4166114 We played some fantastic football under him when he was in charge of us - except it was only League 1. There is a very vocal contingent amongst our own supporters who believe he was hard done by when he was with us and has never really been given the chance in the Championship. Opinions differ on this (the Forest fans called him a 'one trick pony' from his time there and I can understand why), but it would be very interesting to observe how he does if he's given a chance in charge of a second tier team again.
