Some on there think they should target Neil Warnock or Martin O'Neill. LOL.

Talk about fans living in the past.

The song "Your Not Famous Any More" suits them.

One fan wants David O'Leary- one of the men responsible for their downfall.( they want Conference football do they)

If you fancy a laugh have a read.

Unbelievable really when theyve little resources and Grayson has them challenging for the play offs.

For the resources available, they need to realise they are punching above their weight. They may be a 'big club' in terms of fans and history, but they are another championship club sligging it out with the rest of us. Grayson has them playing decent football on a budget. They haven't got the money to buy big, so how much better would Warnock and O'Neil do with the tools Grayson has at his disposal?

A new manager might not be such a bad idea...it seems to be working for the Wurzels and Forest (except yesterday) with the same squads.
Personally, I hope they keep hold of Grayson :D

Warnock is just about the best manager you can get if you want out of the Championship.

However Leeds Utd FC of old is gone thanks to Ridsdale , O'Leary and anyone else involved in their ludicrous spending.

As you say. History had them as a big club. Those days are gone. They are punching above their weight. If Grayson had millions fair enough. But hes got a bunch of average Championship players into a play off position.

Martin O'Neill and Warnock - you couldnt make it up!

In the past 20 years we have been a bigger club than you will EVER be, suddenly though football doesn't seem all that important.

They have been a very good side (hated by almost everyone) in comparatively recent times. But those times are getting further and further away in the distance. It will clearly take some time for their fans to adjust to the fact that they are not a great club any more. They still seem to think that having a great history and reasonably good support still makes you a great club in the present day - something which Preston, Burnley, Forest, Sheff Wed, and Derby fans etc have had time to adjust to. They are probably no worse than fans of other clubs who live on supposed past glories for years. Though the fact that they are moaning about being in the top six makes them as weird as some of our lot were last season.

I wonder if Mr Ridsdale has left you guys with a juicy little leaving present. Only time will tell, and the suspense is killing me.

It really is funny how people can totally misunderstand a club's stature in the game. Leeds most certainly aren't a TOP club right now, but BIG club...well, yes. You see, Leeds have a proud history with three League Championships to their name, a couple of European trophies, FA Cup and League Cup. The club has also made it to a European Cup Final (in the days when it really was for Champions) and the semi-finals of the modern-day Champions League. Just because the club was ruined by some charlatans posing as football men doesn't mean you suddenly ignore what has happened in it's illustrious past.

Leeds also supplied many great International players over the years, and still have a proud tradition of developing excellent young footballers from their internationally renowned Academy. There are very few clubs that can boast a history similar to that of Leeds United. Now here is the thing, what makes a club big is not the money they get thrown at them for "playing" in the Premiership, but rather their supporters, and this is where Leeds are second to none. The club is recognised and has followers world wide, and the famous white shirt can be seen in many places across the globe.

So, you see Cardiff fans, our proud history is something that you can never take away from us, and just because we appreciate what great players have achieved in the white shirt does not mean we live in the past. At least we have a history to celebrate. The truth is, and you all know this, Leeds will eventually return to the top flight where they belong, and our time in League One and the Championship will be remembered as a sobering reality check that made us appreciate our great club even more, and then we will be a TOP club once again. After all Cardiff fans, would you really say Wigan are a BIGGER club than you just because they are in the Prem? Oh, and what about Swansea? So please don't get BIG and TOP confused again.

Billy, Leeds-8, the fact that you say 'Leeds will eventually return to the top flight where they BELONG' highlights your arrogant nature. I don't challenge you WERE a big club that people were in awe of and that you still have a big following, as do the two Sheffield clubs. But where are thety now? Where you were not that long ago.

The fact that you think you BELONG in the top flight is amusing. You belong where your results dictate. At the moment, you belong in the championship. All the hilarity and mick taking is about the conceited nature of the comments of many of your posters. Living in the past and thinking that managers will come to you because of your past. Deluded!

I'm sure Wigan and Swansea will forego being a big club to be a top club.

right, i hate to break it to you but we have finished above you for god knows how many years. what goes on now is the history of the future, and yours currently is a legacy of being in the championship and lower for a number of years, now. i'm not denying that leeds were, in the past, a big club, a club that was winning trophies, but thats the past. football, and indeed the world, moves on, and you dont seem to understand it. its not hard to get to the top, but to stay there is the key thing, and the league table doesnt lie, leeds deserve to be where they are. they deserved to get relegated to the championship, they deserved to get relegated to league 1, and finally they deserved to get promoted to the championship.

you then proceed to talk about leeds producing 'many great international footballers'. this does not make you a big club. we have produced, in the past 10 years alone, far, far better players than you have, and in greater quantity too. i cant be bothered to name them all, you can use google if you wish.

you then say that you have a history that we 'can never take away from us'. well no one here has, all we're doing is acknowledging that it is just that, history. some people are interested in history, me being one of them, however, its what has happened in the past. what most people are interested in is what is going on at this present time, ever wondered why if you go on bbc tables it doesnt show the league table in 1978 or whenever when you last one the league? its because you're only as good as your last league performance, and at this moment in time you are a run of the mill championship club, and there is no getting away from that, however you dress it up.

you talk about 'returning' to the top flight as if its some sort of divine right, i hate to break it to you but being a 'big club' does not get you promoted, you have to earn it through league positions, which you havent done. its the hardest league to get promoted from, as we have found out, and you will find out if you believe you will 'return' to the top league. football on a saturday afternoon does not care about what happened 20 or 30 years ago, more so what is happening on the pitch in front of you, and based on that, leeds are no better than any team around them in terms of league positions.

sir alex ferguson does not marvel at his achievements from 10-15 years ago, all he cares about is where is the next league title going to be, when will the next champions league be won? thats the sort of attitude that keeps you at the top level, not gloating about past achievements, and turning your noses up at teams like wigan and bolton and saying they have no right to be taking your 'rightful' place in the league.

finally how did newcastle, a club which i rank far higher than leeds in terms of greatness, get promoted from the championship? by rolling up their sleeves and fighting for the right to be back where they believe they belong, not by moaning that you have a divine right to be in the PL like you are doing here.
