So after an emotional weekend and brilliant cup win last night, City now face Birmingham - another big game on Sunday, the second of 3 very big teams that we face around the Christmas period. The Blues were not in the relegation zone until the last day of the season last season and are current Carling Cup holders, a great win over Arsenal last May. So despite seeming to throw off the reputation as a yo-yo club, Birmingham are back to face the Bluebirds - in our last clash, Ledley scored a cracking volley but then we conceded in added time, like we did against Reading (a) and we also threw away a goal advantage at Wolves the season also. But this season, Birmingham also face the struggle of the Europa Cup, and the midweek games before lagging behind the league as well, already 3 games behind everyone else... Hughton has done a decent job of restablishing the team after the clear out of relegation, Marlon King and Zigic are dangerous, but on the wing is Burkey (Why diddidd he Leave!!!!!) who is in fine form, scoring plenty of goals this season, including some crackers. I did love Burkey.... but I hope he doesn't score! So a first Correct Score for Privatebenjamin and domdimdomdim also picked the right score, and both are within a point of getting out of division 2! This one will really test you with the split off coming up soon I'm going for 2-1 City win Good Luck
Will reserve my prediction until after the game tonight, see what shape the team are in before committing myself.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm......who was the first game against then Bluesheep? Sorry....I was above my station for a mo pal. 1-1 for me please!
I've questioned Hughtons management credentials so I have to go for a bluebirds win. However, a mid week game against a premiership side may have a bearing so I'm going for a 1-0 win
It only took me 19 games, but I finally got a prediction right I'll go for 1-1 this time please Sheep
