I think that we hear so many stories about cowboy builders/workmen, that we automatically assume that they're going to do something wrong.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed that they are as good as they seem.

If SLB for whatever reason cannot continue is there a way of changing the ownership of his predictions thread?

Led Zeppelin was not the Yardbirds. The Yardbirds made a contract in Sweden and to complete Jimmy Page and Chris Dreja asked Robert Plant after Terry Reid said no and John Bonham to help out. Dreja dropped out for his photography and John Paul Jones joined. The tour of Sweden was not the Yardbirds or Led Zeppelin. The group at this time were The New Yardbirds.

It is in hand Brag, I've been keeping all of the predictions and league up to date in SLB's absence and passing it all onto H and Dan. The mods (H and Dan) are able to amend his threads if it comes to that. Hopefully SLB will be back soon.

Oh and by the way you are currently 20th in the league <ok>

Great memory Ak, I was just stating who had played in the Yardbirds but yes your right they came from The New Yardbirds - and you saw them 'amazing' I think they were only known as that for a couple of months before forming Led Zeppelin.

For me Eric Clapton is somewhat overated - a very good craftsmen and occaisonally he rises to greatness, but a legend at R&B...narrrr - look at who had to support the Derek & The Domino Layla recordings, now he was a legend....

There is no way thats happening. Sorry to be blunt, but its SLB's baby and has been for many years now. Just because he is away for a short period of time (relative to the years this has been running) it doesnt mean someone else owns it.

I don't think brag meant it that way Dan, anything you or H do to the thread in his absence would purely be classed as babysitting. No-one is going to be calling in Child Services for SLB's baby. I'm glad that people still care about the WPL ,especially after all the hard work SLB has put into it over the years <ok>

Yep the cup competition with Hil and the eagles used to be a lot of fun too! I seem to remember SLB saying he would be trying to restore it many months back! If so we should hear from him in the next 3 weeks or so!
If we dont then I will get very worried about SLB\s health!

I agree with al of the above - this is SLB's baby and always will be. However we are letting him down at the moment as it is nearly three months since the league was updated. There can be no reason if Sandy is keeping it up to date not to share it with us all. To go one third of the season without knowing where you are is crazy. Does anyone seriously think that SLB would want that? He is clearly not able to participate for now and we should keep it alive for him until his return.

Spot on Lenny, I am sure that SLB will be happy with someone keeping it up to date in his absence and he can pick it up again without a pile of updates to take care of.
This is what The Nest is all about....

I agree too, although if we do this, we should definitely create an Unofficial update thread, rather than start editing his initial post.

I feel that the easiest option is to edit the existing threads. Only the league table and future predictions need updating, the league table once a week and the future predictions are good until 18th February. Everyone knows where these current threads are and it will keep it consistent. But I am happy to go with any decision, I will continue to keep the info up to date until SLB's return. <ok>

I cannot see the problem - we are doing our predictions - surely we should see the table - let's face it with a lot of effort any of us could go through and create it for ourselves - what is the value in hiding between two Mod and Sandy ?

If you guys want the league updated im sure we can do it. I just feel strange as it is SLB's project. But on the other hand i dont want to see it grind to a halt. That would be wrong. So long as there are no major objections i will do what the mob want.
