Thought I'd post a poll, just to see with all the other speculation threads going around how many players do people think we will sign in the window?

N.B. I'm not including Hooiveld in these numbers.

I'm going for two, one of which will be a Centre Forward. The other hopefully will be a winger, but I wouldn't be surprised if we bought in a position that is not of immediate need if we think we're getting a good deal on a player with potential to be effective in the Prem (should we get there).

defences is fine.. midfield is fine... but we lack seriously on the right hand side of attack and upfront.

So we should sign Sharpe and Wittingham!

deffo 2 for me i think the Billy sharp deal is done and dusted and fully expect him at st marys by end of jan. Defence does worry me a little but would perfer a more attacking minded player would love us to get noone from brighton but don't think poyet would be up for selling his best player to an already far superior team.

I predict that we'll be linked to 20 players and then end up signing just a single unknown player on loan on deadline day.

He'll either be highly rated and compared to Messi, only to turn out to be s**t - like De Ridder.

Or, he'll be heavily critised, everyone will be on his back and then he'll turn out to be brilliant - like Hooiveld.

I love that Lallana makes that starting XI. To be honest, he's good enough. Imagine how much being around that sort of quality would benefit and help him raise his game further.

Does anyone think we need a stronger, more competitive bench for when everyone starts to get tired and injured later in the season?

Where would Butterfield fit in exactly? I know he's a very good player, but I'm struggling to fit him in.

How many new supporters will we get? 3 two strikers (dustmen), and 1 whinger.
