A total of 262 people were arrested at football matches involving Aston Villa, Birmingham City, West Brom or Wolves last year, figures released by the Home office revealed today.

In the 2010/2011 season, police arrested 103 Aston Villa fans, 74 Birmingham City fans, 50 Wolves fans and 35 West Brom fans.

When it came to punishment, 23 Villa fans received banning orders compared to 18 Birmingham City fans, three West Brom fans and seven Wolves fans.

Manchester United finished top of a 'league of shame' for match-day arrests.

The champions had more fans held by police than any other team in the Premier League during last season – almost twice as many as second-placed Sunderland.

Across England arrests for football-related disorder hit a new record low last season.

If you think United fans are shameful then you should see the treatment Stan Collymore is getting on twitter from vile disgusting racist Scousers.

    CLUBS WITH MOST ARRESTS

    Manchester United - 276
    Leeds - 149
    Sunderland - 126
    Newcastle - 123
    Manchester City - 108

CLUBS WITH MOST BANNING ORDERS IN TOTAL

    Cardiff City - 143
    Leeds - 106
    Chelsea - 105
    Manchester United - 101
    Newcastle - 98

So overall, Leeds fans are the most consistently hit with arrests and banning orders. Especially when you look at it as a proportion of our matchday crowd. And you know why that is? Because the Police are arseholes and our club are their sycophants.

Don't give them ammo. They'll be claiming the number of arrests is due to the fact that they are the best supported team, not that they're criminals.

Call me an idiot if you want but at least I will never resort to racially abusing people on the internet, or supporting footballers who have also been adjudged to have done so.

I see you aren't going to show all the tweets abusing those abusing Stan? https://twitter.com/#!/JonJuwanson
    https://twitter.com/#!/KeithRegan

Which of them is a Liverpool fan? None I can see. Just a bunch of internet 'hardmen' like you mouthing off and being offensive. Hopefully the Police will knock on their doors and drag them away if they make racist remarks...

You are a plank. Probably 4x2 - short and thick...

Why should I show all the tweets? The abuse that Stan is receiving is absolutely disgusting, the man played for your club yet some Scousers still feel the need to hideously abuse him (and Gary Speed for that matter). Of course they are going to receive abuse back. It's the least the disgusting animals deserve. In reality they should all be arrested which would take Liverpool swiftly to the top of the table you lot are trying to point score over the Mancs with <ok>

Adjudged, or 'supporting footballers unfairly judged to have commited such an offense in the past'

What a fktard, if you make a good argument people will not ignore you, only when you talk stinky gibberish
