    Greetings :)

Now I know this won't be a very popular opinion, but hear me out. Imo Djourou is the perfect squad player. He players wherever he's asked, whenever he's asked. He doesn't moan about sitting on the bench or not starting every game, he just gets on with it when he's picked. What more can we ask for?

He's been with us for a very long time but he's never really been a fan favourite. Last season was unarguably his best season with us. He was an absolute colossus alongside Koscielny. His form dipped towards the end of the season after picking up a few injuries, but overall he had a solid season.

This season he's slipped down the pecking order with the return of Vermaelen and the signing on Mertesacker but he's still had a lot of game time because we've been plagued with injuries as usual. He has been played at right back a lot so far this season, that's obviously not his best position but he's done a very decent job there so far.

He's our fourth choice centre back so he will make a few mistakes here and there, but he will get the job most of the time. Once Sagna returns he will get less playing time but I think he is now a very good option at right back when Sagna is injured or suspended.

I think people have been very harsh on Djourou in the past (me included), the guy gives it his all every game. He won't always be up to scratch because he's not a regular starter for us, so he'll be a bit rusty sometimes, but I think we should all appreciate how professional and committed he is.

We won't get a better fourth choice centre back than Djourou in England, so lets give the guy a break and stop bashing him at every given opportunity.

He's ****, get rid! Sack Wenger. Sack the board. Sell all the players and the stadium, change the colour of the kit and start again <grr>

Not sure if City will sell him but if they consider then I would seriously want us to get Zabaleta from them. This guy can cover many roles and does it with class.

    SJW19, I completely agree.

Zabaleta can play in 4 or 5 different positions, you won't find many better squad players than him.

Money is the issue there. Not sure we can spend that on a player that is not going to start if everyone is fit imo. Might prove me wrong but I do not think he is a patch on TV or Kos and CB is his best position.

How much do you think it would take to prize him away ? I reckon £15m might, and that's less than we spent on Arshavin. On the subject of starting v the bench, I think there are more than enough games in a season for Kos, TV, Mertesaker and Vertonghen to get games, especially with injuries and rotation. For Vertonghen in particular he would be challenging for three different positions, so is quite likely to play.
