    Do we include fans who miss nearly half the match by going to the bar early or leaving 5 min before the end of the match? In my apparently low figure I have allowed for several hundred people seeing only 66.6% of match and then rounded to nearest whole person.

    hmmm Everyone can include there own terms and conditions in there posts :) ....I hope that its a good gate tonight i was thinking somewhere around the 26,464 mark .

    I believe that Bristol City are planning to bring between 1500-2000 fans .

    We include anyone who buys a ticket and shows up. Obviously if they paint themselves blue and ring a bl**dy bell for 90 mins they'd be counted twice at some grounds, but hopefully there'll be none of that at SMS until April, when there'll be 32,000 in the place.

    I was tempted to employ the tactic used on another attendance thread, and wait until the match was over before giving my "guess". It really does improve accuracy!

    On the basis that you are unlikely to allow such an entry, I will have a stab at 26789. I will also be asking Beddy to bring his slide rule and binoculars to check the figure with the official estimate. In case of a disparity, we should all bow to the sage judgement of Beddy, and accept his figure without question.
    (Should you be reading this, Beddy, that figure will be around 26789 ish)

    wasnt there an offer about half price tickets for today with palace game or something along those lines? if so, we could see another big-ish crowd, add to the fact the club have already announced its selling well, and brizzle city likely to bring a few down

    i reckon about 28,000

    Don't think it will be sell out, because they have said 'selling well and get in early on OS'. They do that to drum up trade..hope to be proved wrong.

    30,000 I went to buy tickets and to get three together was a nightmare - only the two South Corners and the very top or bottom of Northam. I would also like to point out this is my first game of the season because I live in China and have just come back for a few weeks, so excited!
