Reminded me of his Chelsea performance last year, just proves he doesn't need to dive in on every tackle....the benchmark has been set.

Tucking in to my second pie here too. Couldn't quite believe how well he played. The running around like a headless chook routine
has been replaced, no doubt with a more succinct gameplan in place by MoN but fair do's you've still got to have the motza to go and do it.

He was incredible, but so was the whole team. The Mon factor is immense. Oh and how good does McLean look?

Humble pie for me in very large portions, Catts IMO had his finest game in a Sunderland shirt today.<somersault>

I´ll have a slice of that pie going around.

Since MON came in he´s been different class Catts, and it wasn´t just the performance, there were pats on the back for tackles, he was constantly having words with the ref.

A captains performance in every essence of the word. Brilliant.

He was amazing today, i dont know whether MON has just told him not to go to ground or something but he was excellent today, im proud to say he is the captain of Sunderland on performances like that!

His best game by far in a Sunderland shirt.

    same from me

I was calling for us to sell him a few weeks ago but he was brilliant today

We all know the lad has ability, remember him and Cana before he got injured, he was outstanding alongside our former captain that season but since then injuries have hampered him and maybe the clueless Bruce.

MoN hopefully is the man to get the best out of him

No pie for me as I have stood by him. <ok>

    The difference today?

He wasn't having to do two other players work for them!

    Great organised TEAM performance!

Catts when fit is a very good player ........i hope some of the humble pie eaters look at their previous posts on the subject of cattermole and order a second helping....he was our best player during our good run under bruce and we started to go downhill once he was injured......i would argue that bruce played him when he was not fully fit and mon has the ability to get the best out of him..... there was a moment during the second half when you could see he was pulling away from stupid challenges that would have previously of got him booked...i think the penny has dropped and if he continues to improve he will be our captain for a very long time or more likely be poached by a top 6 club. also what about kilgallon he looked ok to me whats the problem with him was it just bruce or was today just a one off?
