Thought I'd give the lad a mention as noone else has... Thought he looked decent today, would like to see him get a few more starts under his belt, think he could be a very good player for us.

And did anyone notice the position he got himself into when sess had "that shot"? If he'd have picked him out instead he'd surely have put it in the back of the net. Nobody seemed to pick up on this on the telly so thought I'd mention it!

good point mate. Mclean was impressive again today, wasn't overawed and showed no fear, also i think he played his part in the build up to the goal. Well done!

Glad to hear he had a decent game, was ripping that I couldn't watch the game (was at work) but the wee lad kept ringing me telling me how it was going.

For me he looked far better then Richardson on the left wing, he helped out Colback loads too.

i've just been listening to Steve McLaren and he kept saying Colback and McClean were immense down that left hand side. What impressed him was the amount of support McClean gave to Colback and vice versa. Give the kid a few more starts.

He was ten times better than what we get from Richardson.
    Plenty of covering back.
When we were going forward, him being out left gave us a much better shape.
Thought he and Colback did great on the left.
Richardson should only ever be cover now. IMHO.

The lad McLean looks a wonderful find, and might actually turn out to be Bruces best signing, given the fee.

His touch is sensational, he shirts the ball completely by turning his ankles, i´m excited to watch him grow and grow for us.

ALWAYS looks like he´s gonna make something happen.

He hogs the wing well and is always available for the pass. IMO we did not pass it to him often enough. It seems the players need to trust him more.

    Couldn't agree more bonny lass.
Once they get used to him being out there, the midfield should be able to pass him the ball blindfolded.

He´s a ****ing grafter as well, and we always love that.

Delighted with the lad, a real bonus for us.

People had been watching him in ressies and saying he was a talent, great to see him getting there.

He did great, as mentioned by quite a few, always tracked back and helped out, made him self available at evry opportunity, was in position for open goal when sess who also had a great game should have squared it to him but heyho we still got the three points.
The lad has got the potential to go on and be a regular on this showing, considering what we shelled out looks like a great buy

I feel quite sorry for ricco on this one. Yeah mclean was tremendous yesterday but Richardson, since O'neill took over, has found his best form for us as he's been in a settled position. Rather than ricco being "cover" let's have 2 good players fighting for one spot.. Can't be a bad thing

I think this will be the outcome and I can see some rotation around the team, proper rotation with a proper squad.
