Hello fellow sufferers!!!! New to this forum malarky but decided to create an account after months of reading your views with interest!!!! I'll jump in head first and say 'lets not get too carried away!!!!' I've seen too many false dawns in my time to get over excited!!!! We have had some fantastic results since MON waved his magic wand but most of these have been tinged with a bit of luck that at last seems to be going in our favour. I think the most positive thing is that we have managed is to capitalise on the bits of luck (last minute goals, offsides, dodgy free kick decisions etc), performed well and finish games strongly(Rather like Newcastle did earlier in the season!!!! The players seem to be working their pods off and are playing well despite the injuries!!! Long may it continue! However players, like the fans, are a fickle bunch and a few bad results/performances/bits of luck/decisions could again see us struggle, particularly if injuries keep occuring!!!! Much like under Bruce last year!!!! However I'll finish by saying that I think/hope we will finish around 10-12th and the feel good factor should see us through to the end of the season. I just dont like counting my chickens....thats all!!!! This is SAFC after all!! I'm a lot more positive than i was about a month ago and can now sleep at night. Nothing like waking up first thing in the morning and your first thought is......aahhhhhh 4:1!!!!!! Best regards, JumboWhiffy
Its a Filthy, Rich and Catflap reference.......but it CAN get awfully pongy down there, thats for sure!!!!!
Welcome mate. Not getting to carried away, we are in the top 10 though. I would be dissapointed if we didn't finish top half now.
Welcome aboard marra...Great name by the way.... Like you, I feel there will be lots of twists and turns to come, and I'm certainly not going to be getting carried away with any rash predictions...
Glory Hunter!!!!!!!?????? How very dare you!!!! Wish I was!!! Would have saved me 25 years of torment! I can remember through a haze the League Cup Final defeat against Norwich when I was a toddler!!! Ever since then its been mental anguish!!! Oh to have a season of mid table mediocrity!!! Its either going for promotion or fear of relegation!!!! Sob!!!!!
Welcome bonny lad. Rather than hoping for mid table mediocrity, join me in hoping for comfortable mid table joy.
