Never said you did say, I said you suggested it. By the way he probably is thinking about his successor as well as the many players out injured.
Crikey Read through this just now and there is a lot of bitterness towards Man Utd on this thread which is quite sad. I didn't think Phil Jones was that bad to be honest. He was covering for Rio a lot of the time and he is only 19! Was a good game and I thoroughly enjoyed that result (not because I dislike Man Utd, as I actually have a lot of respect for them, but because we beat the champions and one of the best teams in the league) Berb, I hope you did not lose your job dude.
2 games, last season Chelsea and Liverpool (unless there was a cup game/cl game in between, cant remember)
2001; Derby, Southampton and Tottenham. 1995; Newcastle, Southampton and Chelsea. League champions both seasons.
West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal, all in the PL in Nov / Dec 2001. It was the start of our collapse that gifted Arsenal the title. Out of interest, when was the last time Chelsea lost three in a row? Must've been pre-Mourinho / Abramovich?
True, but that was when we'd already secured the league. We also lost three in a row in 01/02 when we were top of the table, which effectively handed the league to Arsenal.
True enough. Didn't look there as it was stated that the last time we lost three in a row was the 00-01 season, I'm sure it was on the BBC website. The last time I could recall myself was that 95-96 season.
Hate to be a pedant mate but we beat Boavista 3-0 in the CL during this run of league defeats! How's your date with Red gone?
Aye, you are correct - I just remember the three league defeats very vividly. Good to see our ten year record of avoiding three defeats in a row remains intact! Red was the perfect gentleman...apart from all the screaming at the screen every time we got the ball. I managed to get out before he showed by the Hammerhead...
Yeah the season just before Abramovich bought us, 2002/03. Lost three in a row against West Ham, Vikings and Liverpool.
