Its Official: Paul Scholes is on the bench for Man U. That is an embarrassment of the highest order.

Its confirmation that Fergie doesn't have a clue when it comes to being able to go into the transfer market and buying himself a good enough central midfielder, for a decent price.

The last time he bought one was about 19 years ago in Roy Keane. He's needed to replace Scholes & Keane 5 years ago.

    Shocking.

So no move for our two CM's. Good for us but he is past it IMO.

Are you actually serious? I haven't seen that yet but that is rather embarrassing considering Scholes has been finished for the best part of 5 years anyway.

    Nooo!

It would be the 2004-2005 FA cup semi final season all over again <wah>

Probably the worst week of my life losing to Man United in the semis and Lisbon in the quarter final in a week.

Typical, Ben Arfa scores a world class goal yesterday without being noticed but Paul Scholes returns and the country starts jizzing. Makes me so angry.

Scholes is past it, still one of the best teams in the league who will finish higher than us. Think Man Utd need to look to the future just hope they keep away from our players though.

So basically in the year 2012. Man U could have at some stage Giggs and Scholes in centre mid vs the best team in the country?

Any other 70 year old would be clearly charged of being senile.........but not Fergie no?

The man is immune from criticism. In one way I respect him for gathering this untouchability; yet at the same time I am sickened by the lack of balls from the media in our country.

When AVB possibly makes a mistake - they smash him.
When Fergie possibly makes a mistake - they totally ignore it.

Surely the man with more experience should be criticised in the above scenario? No?

    F*ck off.

Scholes to score the last goal is 20/1 by the way. Get on it! :D

That just screams "desperate" for United. A 37 year old ginger to the rescue?

I'm pretty certain the media lambasted him following our victory. <doh>
And if Scholes and Giggs are still the best CM options for Fergie and they can still perform, how are they a "mistake"?

Really? Are you sure about that? Define lambasted.
I'm just talking about Giggs and Scholes as being mistakes. I am talking in general. He cant buy a decent CM to save his life for example.

Someone tell Fergie that Nicky Butt is the missing defensive midfielder he needs. And he's available.
