So far you've slagged off our owner, written a really embarrassing article about Leeds and now slagged off our best striker. Are you sure you're not a Leicester fan?
i agree with all who have mentioned the way barmbys got us playing, i like his quote about wanting the reserve and youth teams playing the same system as the senior team. the one thing where i think barmby may have gone wrong i say may because in my opinion we havnt got a quality squad, good first eleven but we lack strength in depth. is the rotation over the christmas period, i think one of the reasons weve lost our last 3 is due to fatigue, we havnt really utilised or rested anybody, but then again if barmby thinks we aint got sufficient quality to come in then. i like the way hes addressed the goalkeeping problem and signed mannone quickly, hopefully this can be made permanent and it sounds like barmby favours this. just need a few more bodys in now to add quality so we can rotate abit more without suffering defeats
when some of your opinions are just plain silly, then alot tend to think you come on here looking for reactions thats all.
I'd rather have Galcusi than Ayala. a quote from pattynchips safe to say we need not take him seriously eh
A well considered post by the OP, but to echo what most have written I think Barmby has all of the attributes to suggest he will be a real winner and he definitely deserves more patience than we would offer anyone else. I have been delving into Hull City's past season statistics recently and the truth is that even our most successful campaigns have been peppered with defeats and disappointing results. As supporters we need to condition ourselves to this a bit more and hold our nerve rather than questioning the manager with every dip in form.
Fryatts playing like a Cobbled donkey at the moment, if you think otherwise, your watching a different player. Half a pace off every ball, good positioning, poor control. Sorry if you disagree, but the fact is he does not score enough goals and does not look as confident as he should. Could improve but not as good as I thought he should be. As for Nick, he cannot do wrong as far as I can see.
Thank you 606ers, a good thread. My mind is at ease a little providing we don't all jump on NB if (and it is an if!) things go wrong. I also like the brand of footie we are playing right now and he has brought good signings in already, so let's enjoy the ride - UTT...!
Nothing wrong with your OP. The thing is we are going to get the usual two camps among supporters, because that's the way things work. It's a pity the questioning has started so early when we are in a off position position and the next round of the cup (and with 3 extra points!). Well, you've started it now so lets see how quickly it all goes down hill. And another thing; Fryatt is our best striker, at the moment he's having a dry spell, but that doesn't change the fact he is the best we have. Stats don't always lie.
You think Fryatt's our best striker? ****ing hell you're stupid. Well actually he is but he's ****. Do I even need to comment?
Matty Fryatt is currently a valued member of our squad, please don't sink to the depths of those Lester fcukwits on Fcukstalk or the outcome could be the same whereby the players simply think that the fans are a bunch of idiots, and all thoughts of loyalty to the cause go out of the window!
Of course Nick Barmby is the correct choice as manager. Yes he does not have the experience yet but that will come. What he does have is a great all round knowledge of the game and with many contacts. Steve Wigley is also not to be dismissed as he has a,lot of experience to help Nick along. Nick will draw players to the club and his ideas on how to play the game are perfect. The fact that he has said he also wants the reserves and youth to play the same way can only be good long term. I dont see any negatives at all just positives. To the clueless muppets who harp on about the 3 1-0 defeats, well thats not Nicks fault. Blame the players. City should have got 7 points over the holiday games. In fact if our finishing was better City would be way over 50 points now and walking this league. Nick has what it takes to get us back to the PL.....THIS SEASON. UTT Barmby Army.
We lost 3 games in typical City cirumstances, we lost games like those many times under NP and coming back from a lead has been a massive weakness of ours for a long time. It isn't Nick's fault.
i don't really see the point of this thread, the entire club and everyone involved has worked towards making him Manager. Why on earth would they backtrack now? It's not too late but you can't put faith in someone and back out of it. Id' expect that from a fan also.
It's the ONLY thread ever that I would be happy to see removed completely, see what you can do Lambo please
I second that. It's absolutely pointless. Preemptive negativity, just support the ****ing team and manager.
