Aye, apparently his phone number and email address has been passed on throughout the internet. No doubt he has received a few threatening messages. What a muppet, if he isn't kicked out of Uni I would like to see him try and get a job in law afterwards. Ruined his own life for a couple of stupid messages.

I knew this tie was coming up at some point. Seems like we can't avoid them in the cup these days. I still strongly back us to beat them though, even with Suarez missing.

considering united have the most fans in england and by far the largest football stadium, thats hardly surprising, is it? thats just basic maths. the larger the fanbase, the larger the statistics.

hilarious.

not that the stat matter but just how much BIGGER do you think old trafford is? that's one of the most inane indefensible positions I've ever heard.... biggest fan base? What do you think happens?

more fans just "hang round" outside cos you've more fans! <laugh>

then biggest stadium... well do the maths there. 75k v 60k for arsenal = 1.25:1 so if i extrapolate form 276 arsenal should have 220 arrests... oops no they have 107. even poor LFC 75 - 45 = 1.667: or 276/1.667 = 166 oh wait nope 66...

The original point was stupid IMO but you could simply have said perhaps manchester police do a better job... but no you had to think you'd make a dim we're a big club statement... oh dear oh dear.

I have to call you on hti sone... you look a bit silly.

You know whats funny that instead of condeming the behaviour of its fans, Manchester united defended its record by using this same argument (a bit like what liverpool have recently been condemed for).
However as a great man once said you have to look at the facts.
Manchester united/Liverpool total attendance 2010/11: 1.47m/0.81m Manchester united had 1.7 times as many fans at games than liverpool
Manchester united/liverpool total arrests 2010/11: 276/66 Manchester united had 4.2 times more football(stadium) related arrests than liverpool
So by may calculations that makes Manu fans 2.3 times more scummy than Liverpool fans, FACT!!!
I should say on average, because i know some of you are passable as semi human.

I did the maths, I now wait to see what quantum mechanics can be thought up by cypher to prove he's right.

You do realise there are large sections of our support who refuse to sit down, both home and away?

This leads to arrests which leads to those statistics, again home and away. They are hardly thugs though.

Believe what you want though lads, who really gives a **** eh?

Well i got him beat on simple statistical analysis anyway... but maybe in some parallel universe he can make something up but I'm sure if someone wants to just end the debate on the numbers (which i don't think contribute anything to the actual case that was brought up) then i'm sure a rational person can pint to a few incidents that explain the higher number pointed out. I don't know what its for but for all i know it could be something last year over some specific protest or it could just be more police or some such. The thing is at anfield we never hardly sit down either so ruff could be right, it could just be that.

cyber only makes himself look bad calling others disgraces and then coming out with something like that when he did get a rise.

A Breakdown just for you!!!

The vast majority of the arrests were for alcohol offences (127), followed by violent disorder (63), ticket touting (26), pitch invasions (20), public disorder (15) and possessing offensive weapons (11).

The figures also showed that 23 fans were arrested in the Premier League for racist or indecent chanting – including two United fans.

I believe in FACTS!

Wow, thanks.

You take out ticket touting then for a start, they are people trying to sell TO fans, not fans. I would like to bet that the alcohol offences does include lots of refusing to sit down, other than that I can only repeat I don't really care as I certainly don't see United fans as any more thugish than any others I've come across, which are many.
I KNOW for a fact that refusing to sit down leads to ejection from the ground and public order arrest at Old Trafford, not sure what category that falls into at away grounds.

alcohol offences (127), - that could be drinking in sight(this illegal) of the pitch, or even under-age drinking

followed by violent disorder (63), this could be swearing, abuse, racial taunts, etc. and taken over a full season with average crowds 70,000+ ( we're some of the incidents away fans?)

ticket touting (26), see Rusholme's remarks

pitch invasions (20), what? is this 1974?

public disorder (15) and possessing offensive weapons (11). so no scouser has ever been arrested for (mis)use of stanley knives, darts, & baseball bats?

I'm not condoning your "facts" and certainly not condemning United fans either, but you really are the proverbial pot calling! As for your facts I can list personal accounts.
