Apart from the Dennis Wise scouting system, does anyone around here know how does Papiss Demba Cisse play??? I don't want to just see videos of him taking penalties and scoring goals, but I wonder how good is his general play... Alan Pardew even said he was the number 1 target after Carroll left, so he must have some defining qualities about him..

Don't know, but his scoring record speaks for itself.

Ba and Cisse are both capable of 20+ per season, potentially our most potent strike force in the past 10 years.

I always keep an eye on Dortmund so watch highlights of the German league wherever I can. I saw one Freiburg game, Cisse scored. He was the main striker, always on the back four and was always in the 6 yard box. Can't remember much from that. YouTube is a god.

From seeing his goals, I actually think that he seems a very confident striker of the ball... Seems to have great technique in striking the ball...Him + Ba could be orgasmic..Next : Fix up the supply line to these 2

judging by his offside statistics i would say he is almost certainly an off the shoulder last man striker, who tries to use his pace to run in behind, perfect foil for ba to ply th 10 and cabaye to spray passes to

He looks like a very decent header of the ball. if only we had some wingers that could cross. then we'd be laughing. Not sure where ben arfa sits in all of this though.

Errmm, Ben Arfa - Cabaye - Tiote - Jonas; what needs fixing?

The crossing I think. Raylor would be perfect for those two however, if you watch Cisse, most goals come from well worked team play. We'll certainly create chances, and I am delighted to have Demba and Cisse up front. I've never been this excited since Shearer/Bellamy.

Aye, I suppose. I would like to see us trying to pass through teams and then having Raylor on the bench as Plan B if it's not going to plan.

As much as i like the idea of sticking ben arfa out wide from time to time i'd be VERY surprised if pardew plays him there. he did it once and he looked decent but i think he prefers someone thats going to offer a bit more defensively and will only put him in those areas if we're chasing the game. personally i worry that ben arfa is really going to struggle to break into the starting XI with cisse in the frame as demba will play as the number 10 nine out of ten times when fit.

I'm happy with Cabaye and Tiote in the middle..its the inconsistent crossing from the flanks that I'm unsatisfied with... We can only dream of Robert and Solano on our flanks..

HBA, fit, and struggling to break into the team.

We must be getting better :)

To be honest I think he'll get plenty enough of playing time, maybe not as many starts as he'd wish but he's still gonna be a main man once the Cisse joy dies down
