Extract from OS , saying that they are expecting 20,000+ on saturday , and could well beat the 22,000 odd that turned up v Chesterfield.

'Ticket sales for League One leaders Charlton's clash with second-placed Sheffield United (3pm) stood a little under 17,000 on Tuesday evening, with both clubs reporting bumper demand.

The Blades reported that they had sold 2,247 Jimmy Seed Stand places to date, while Addicks fans have snapped up 1,500 extra seats since the weekend, raising the possibility that the final attendance could top the 22,151 gate for Chesterfield's cut-price visit in September.

With the visiting contingent expected to top 3,000 and three more days of advance sales in SE7, plus the matchday walk-up, Charlton officials are confident that the final crowd will exceed 21,000 - and now believe that it could go beyond that.'

Genuinely lost count of the number of games I've considered the biggest/toughest game of the season.

...and to think we still have Huddersfield away, Franchise at home etc.

 

Win on Saturday, and i will genuinely believe we will pull away.
All the teams following us have to play one another over the next month or so, whilst we have teams outside the promotion race. Win on Saturday and away at Exeter then i think we will be 10 points clear of 3rd.

 

Don't forget we'll also have a game in hand over half the teams in the promotion places

 

Let's hope they can pull it out of the bag again. If memory serves me right, we usually win at their place, but then they've got a good (recent) record at the valley.

 

If memory serves the last time united played at the valley we lost 5-1...though pardew was sacked later that evening. I think I am also right in saying that was the last goal a certain Gary speed scored.

An entirely different team, and new look Charlton. It's not going to be an easy game for us, but we'd edge through. We've conceded the fewest goals this season, and are unbeaten in the league at The Valley.

 

Until last Saturday... Sheffield Wednesday were unbeaten in the League @ Hillsborough.
