When joey Barton joined this club many said he was a thug, gobby etc. I thought that he can't be as bad as that, he should have grown up by now, Neil Warnock took a risk on him by signing him and an even greater risk in making him captain, and how does he get paid in retain? From his twitter account Barton attacks the man that gave him employment when no one else would touch him, the guy gave the ball away in December allowing Michael Carrick to score and I think it was him that fouled a Wigan player yesterday leading to their goal.

Not a team player and I have now changed my opinion of him.

The popularity poll is on another thread. I want him out yesterday myself, for his behaviour as you write, not for his perfomances on the park which I think are OK, but not irreplaceable at all.

I am so angry about his moronic attack on Warnock that I can honestly say I would rather be in the championship than have him at our club. Warnock took him in when NOBODY else wanted him - despite Barton blowing smoke up his own arse saying Arsenal wanted him - really Joey?

I am surprised he didn't get stick from the fans against Wigan, maybe he would have done if the result was different.

How do you think that Sean Derry, Paddy Kenny, Clint Hill, Jaime Mackie, Bradley Orrr felt yesterday when they walked saw Barton opposite them in the dressing room? Shocking example for a so called captain at a time when everyone needs to stick together.

His criticism of Adel earlier in the season, can you honestly see any other P/League captain or player being so publicly outspoken about a team mate? It's not if Joey is F***ing Messi himself.

More interesting would be how Mark Hughes will handle the situation. From a footballing point of view, with the current squad he can't do without Barton, but surely Hughes can't let the outburst go unpunished? He could be next on the end of one Joey's classless outbursts.

Barton thinks he is better than every other human being on the planet but he is a cancer in our club and I would like to see him gone.

Well I forgot about Jay Bothroyd also being JB, but then again if the previous owners had invested in the transfer market instead of making Neil Warnock pick up the 2 JB's, Kieron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon we might not be in the position that the club finds itself in and we would not be having the dabate about either JB.

Surrey, you're making way too many assumptions there.

Sure, Joey could be far more thoughtful and responsible about his tweets, but lets face it - what he said about Warnock was a response to what Neil himself said (something that imo has been grossly misreported). Having listened to ALL the reports and interviews, Warnock referred to the tendency of the board to read tweets as a slow poison. He never, to my knowledge, actually said that HE was being slowly poisoned. Also, much as I admire Warnock and am ever grateful for the job he did getting us promoted, he's been less than gracious since he left, blaming everyone else for getting him the sack, when in reality the results weren't good enough, and many a manager has been sacked for less. Joey was simply telling him to man up and take it - Certainly there's been way more whinging from Neil since he left us than you normally see from any other manager shown the door.

Basically Joey says what most people think - that Warnock shouldn't shift the blame for the poor run of performances, that Adel needs to decide where he wants to play and then commit to a club through his performances rather than play the primadonna. Barton has never suffered fools gladly, and there have been a few around Loftus Road. Just imagine what he would have said about Flabio and the Poison Dwarf!

Yes - he doesn't need to say everything he does, but that's what you get with him.

I'll re post from the other thread but maybe more relevant here......apologies if I bore you twice!

I believe there are 2 big things that have given the anti JB brigade something to latch onto -

    1. The sending off against Norwich. That's the Joey we knew was coming etc. Had that been Faurlin, HH or SWP we would have been united in what a ridiculous decision it was. Even Grant Holt was stunned which says a lot. Had he not been sent off he would have scored the opening goal in a game I fully expect we would have gone on to win creating a very different situation.

    2. The Warnock and Twitter issue. JB has only responded to what NW said. I was a great admirer in NW but really cheesed off with that interview. By saying he only wants to talk about the positives clearly indicates JB is a negative yet with his calculated answer he says it without being drawn on it which I find gutless. He could easily have said i'm not here to discuss individuals then no controversy. It was a calculated dig on his part whilst trying to retain the moral high ground. JB responded - I just wish he'd been more subtle to or better still said nothing.

Having identified those 2 key points there is also the evidence of matches. It is undeniable that without him our midfield was not what it should be and we look stronger now he is back. I'm not saying he's the best but he is not a creative flair player and never will be. He will track all over, tackle, distribute and hopefully crack in the odd goal. In effect simply provide a workmanlike performance that can easily go unnoticed.
Until we get a replacement that can improve the team then lets keep getting behind him / them, the future is looking rosier by the day!

WLW - What assumptions am I making?

    1. That nobody else wanted Barton?
    2. That the honest decent pro's that got us to the premier league wouldn't be p*ssed off with him?
    3. That he was justified in his attack on Adel?
4.That he thinks he's better than every other human being?

So you say 'he doesn't need to say everything he does but that's what you get with him" So does that mean we just let him get on with it and put up with him?

After shaking hands with the opposition at the start of the home games he runs towards the loft and turns his back, absolutely no clapping towards the fans than line his pockets every week. You watch Mackie, Hill, Derry & co. Barton thinks he's above everyone.

Haven't particularly noticed previous weeks but he made a point of clapping hands above his head from Ellerslie all around to corner Loft / South Africa this week which kinda weakens your argument?

Also, assuming there was some sort of fall out with Warnock judging by EACH of their comments how do we know that this wasn't brought about by JB just doing his job and representing team frustrations to the manager in his capacity as captain? Not saying it was but my point is we don't know. What we do know is there have been a number of tweets / messages coming out from players expressing how impressed they are with the new regime and some not happy with the previous. Why not treat it as a clean slate for all from when MH has taken over. MH clearly has and look at Buz! Lets see if he can get JB firing! Lets all get behind the current team and stop worrying about the past.

It was "player of the weekend" Akos Buzsaky who conceded the free kick Wigan scored from. Lets string him up and run him out of town!

Spot on! Leave him alone. He's bit of a idiot but he is also one of our top three players and that is what's count.......

what others have said, leave him alone, atm he's in our club and warnock isn't, you may not agree with it but that's what it is, so get behind the team!!!

also thought the warnock mixed into sparky chants were nice.

    Agree 100% Skinman!

I don't think Neil should have been fired. But now we have a new Manager, and we should all give 100% support to MH and the team. Neil's gone, he got us where we are in the PL, he is a legend, and there's no need to attack him now. Move on and support our new team.

Same with Barton. I think he should be out, he's a cancer in the squad and no doubt soon he'll be giving it to MH or others in the team again as he's been doing apparently since he come. But while he's still at QPR we need to back him 100% too.

Joey needs a manager he can respect and good players around him. That's just the way he is. Now that NW is gone, hopefully the club can give him the environment to thrive and be the player we expect him to be.

Sparky won't get shot of Barton by the end of the January window but if he keeps up the snidey comments, the (reported) slagging off of his team mates, ill discipline and failure to have any kind of impact on a game then he should be put down, sorry, let go in the summer.

The main defence of Barton has been that he is some sort of genius player and that you need someone like him in your team. I haven't been convinced about his ability on the pitch and his antics on Twitter have done nothing to change my opinion of what sort of person he is like away from game. UP HIS OWN AR*E!

Can't the Club just tell him that every tweet will cost him a £20K fine? That and remove the captaincy from him which was a terrible decision in the first place.
