At least it was away from home though? I mean, imagine being humiliated on your own ground in a derby game?

I love that. The difference is, the 9-1 happened decades before Syd was even born, and that's saying something! The 5-1 was there for all of us to witness. So was the 0-1 and the 1-1 when you scrapped a last second lucky point. And I can't wait until eventually by the law of averages, you win one of the future derbies. You'll claim that the table has turned again, you are now the better side and all our recent victories are in the past, and the only one that matters is the one you've just won I'd gladly lose to you in march if it meant we could qualify for Europa League or win a cup this year. That would mean so much more to me than yet another derby day victory
And for me so was when we beat you 4-1 at your place, the play offs, the two consecutive 2-1's at yours (remember SKP making a mug of your keeper).
Aye well, I remember me feeling depressed as a kid when you were on top for those two years. You finished 7th twice and we finished 13th, but then you got relegated and SBR revived us and everything was restored
But you remember our two years of finishing 7th..(as you have stated, and that was when you were 6-7)...must have been a fairly depressing childhood then..
Which hurts the most Tash?? Newcastle 0 Sunderland 2, 1990 play off semi final when your fans tried there up most to get the game abandoned Newcastle 1 Sunderland 2, 1999 undone by SKP and Sir Niall Quinn Newcastle 1 Sunderland 2, 2000 We all remember the save form Tommy Sorenson from Sherar Sunderland 2 Newcastle 1, 2008 the season we helped to relegate you
Probably the 2-1 at the SoL because all those other defeats I can't really remember the feeling that well, but the one in 2008 we got relegated and that just made me feel even worse :S But you ended up doing us a favour really and so did Damien Duff when scoring that OG, because relegation really did us a massive favour. We found a pile of **** worth 35 million, we regained our team spirit and got rid of most of the dead wood. Cheers for beating us
You missed the unemployable bit that should always go first and the greasy haired prick with the life prospects of a bucket of sick that should always follow
