If the Victor Moses story is true and we do manage to sign him then i think he could well end up being our best purchase. He has pace and ability aswell as adaptability to play in numerous positions. mark Hughes seems to be identifying some good players whom have potential to get even better. i think with these potential buys we could have a very promising season next time around, providing we stay up which Im confident we will.
Something noticeable about Hughes signings are they're all young and up and coming. Building for the future is obviously his tactic. Throw in one or two stars next season and we'll start to look higher than mid table.
About time too, our average squad age would have been over 30 next season. You can see Hughes is here for the long term. Moses always looks a threat and tries to do something rather than pass square or to the FB, however I think we need a DM and CF before we look at wide players or defenders.
He's also a London lad. Went to Whitgift school, albeit in Surrey, but I'm sure he'd prefer to live closer to home than Wigan
He started very brightly on Saturday, but drifted out of the game (thankfully) - he'd keep Traore and SWP on their toes for sure
No wigan player really stood out against us and i was happy for Moses to see little of the ball apart from skinning Young.

Moses isn't exactly prolific though, we need some goals, I'm sure he's the guy who's had most shots in the pl without hitting the target.
He's just turned 21, the potential is huge and he's already better than the likes of Theo Walcott imo. I'll back you to the hilt on this one Bob What Mark Hughes and Tony Fernandes are doing right now is bring in young to medium young players that can only get better. And when the day come and some big boys offer megabucks we'll make a profit that again can be used to invest in more quality. If we stay up this year, then in the summer I hope we go all out to secure David "Junior" Hoilett from Blackburn when his contract is up, with the offer of first team football Sparky might just pull it off.
