Totally agree, some fan's, pundit's, and manager's see what they want to see and that goal Messi scored in the first leg which was totally legal hardley even got mentioned and Barca were denied a stone wall pen in the first half last night. Imo Arsenal were lucky not to get mauled over the two leg's.
What about the pen? Was it not stickon? was the ref not 5 yards away and looking right at it? Good goal at Emirates wiped out too, should have been 6 3 on agg It would be antifootball to see that shambles of a team go through when you see lower la liga sides play better in the camp nou against Barca, played off the park before the sending off and played off the epark with 10 men, yes the fact you couldn't muster a shot on goal was the refs fault, Arsenal so brilliant according to their fans couldn't get at the Barca's goal, Oh btw, Bendtener should have put you through to the next round but he fkd it up, 8 yards out with only keeper to beat, terrible. The better team went through regardless of the technicalities, I am a fan of neither but damn hell azz I want to see Barca in the next round on the performances over the two legs, far far better side, who compaired Arsenal to Barca, not even same footballing galaxy
TBH FIFA and EUFA would be horrified if English teams dominated... It's not as though we invented the sport or anything.
Well that English teams have done well in Europe and the first teams are dominated by non British players. That's my point.
I don't know whether this thread should be on the Arsenal board or Utd board. Once glance at their board and 10 out of the 12 threads are about Arsenal. ****ing obsessed or what?
Unfortunately, all too often that is the case. But look at the starting line-ups from the 2008 CL Final in Moscow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_UEFA_Champions_League_Final#Match_details 10 English players out of 22, not bad really. And yet England didn't even play in Euro 2008
Do you think with a more tactically aware manager you would have already won one cup and have had a much easier tie than Barcelona if you had played your first team in Braga? Surely the best way to get further in the CL is to avoid them as long as possible? Wenger must shoulder the blame and if you don't now win anything this year,as most would now expect, then surely it's time for a change as although the football is pretty and easy on the eye,its of no use if there is nothing to show for it year on year
Your right, we didn't. football was invented in china like hundreds of years before it was in england, we just put a name and wrote down rules to it.
