Liverpool were lucky Rooney and Nani never played, if they did play, they would of finished liverpool off. I wonder if Liverpool payed Arsenal to get Nnai and Rooney injured.

To be honest, I'd say a draw was a fair result. You took the first half, us the second. I'd have been disappointed with 1-1, but it would have been a good reflection of the game.
Delighted with the win though, obviously.

We had lots of the ball but didn't really penetrate. Welbeck didn't have a sniff up on his own. When I saw the line-ups, I thought Liverpool would win the battle in the middle with energy and running but Scholes, Carrick and Giggs functioned well. Considering our absentees, we played quite well. Liverpool didn't have a great day either but they took the chances they created and worked at on the training ground.

It would have been a different game for both sides with just Suarez and Rooney playing.

Wellbeck makes too many wrong decisions.With 5 min to go he tries to blast it from 20 yards instead of trying to keep possession. This should be basic stuff for a forward! Then his miss gives them possession to score the 2nd goal!!

Suarez is on a different level to Kuyt, and if Gerrard is a like for like replacement for Lucas then we're basically sacrificing his attacking threat in order for him to completely replace what Lucas does

 

But doesn't your reliance on those tow point to weaknesses in your squad?
